Dressing for carry

Just curious. My normal attire is jeans and a t-shirt. Since I always carry my Buck 110 on my belt, I have to carry it on my left side to accommodate my pistol on my right side without the 2 interfering with each other. But having my Buck on the left is awkward, since I use it far more than the pistol. But I prefer the pistol on the right instead of cross draw. Decisions, decisions, and compromises. :roll:

Anyone else have this issue?

I assume that you knife is in some sort of pouch? When I had this issue, I relocated my clipped knife to the next stretch of belt. You might try flipping the pouch over so that gravity "extracts" the knife, instead of having to dig with your fingers.

I have the same issue. I carry my Buck on my strong (right) side, it has been there so long it is hard to put it somewhere else.

I usually pocket carry a J frame, which doesn't interfere with the Buck.

Some times I carry IWB for a left hand draw, so my knife can stay were it is. I can shoot good with my left hand if I have to.

Or if I want to carry on my right side, I switch to a knife with a pocket clip, or put the Buck in my back pocket.

I also have modified a tuckable holster so the gun is IWB, the Buck knife sheath is the belt loop for the holster, so I can wear both on the same side.

Lastly, I carry a J frame with a Barami hip grip, it tucks in just right so the grip is behind the top of the knife sheath, but the body of the gun is just forward of the knife.

I carry my LC9 in a clipped pocket holster at the top of my front Wrangler pocket for quick and easy access. I wear short pants a lot so I have a local seamstress make my short pants from my Wranglers so my right rear Benchmade and my left front SOG both have lockback power assisted opening that I can open and close with one hand while working. My left rear has Betsy, my faithful Case XX large Trapper, that has been with me since 1980. I just always want to be able to reach something if an arm gets disabled in any situation.

I carry an anza ( full tang) in cross draw sheath at my 11:00. I have been doing that for eons because when I am riding, my reins are in my left hand and it gives me REAL good access to the knife with my right. The knife and sheath will be at a 45 degree angle on your belt. Very secure yet accessible.

When I started carrying a gun I quit carrying a knife, now if something needs opening I just shoot it open.

Switched from a belt sheath to a pocket clip many years ago.....non issue.

I carry OWB with the holster straddling the belt loop on the seam at the back of the front pocket. My folding box cutter knife or flipper knife is clipped to that pocket and the only other thing that goes in that pocket is lip balm or big folding cash if I'm carrying that. Nothing else goes on the belt in front of the pistol-I don't want anything in the way or interfering with the draw plus stuff on my belt in that area gets uncomfortable due to wearing a seat belt.
Cell phone goes in pouch above left front pocket which holds my lunch money/change. If I'm carrying a light, that pouch goes right behind the phone. Behind the next belt loop is the pouch(s) for my big folding knife and multi-tool.
I don't often need/use either the folding knife or multi-tool BUT they're easily accessible if I do. Spare mags go in the pockets of my cover garment and that's where I usually carry my light.

Like some others here, I carry my knife clipped and inside my left back pocket of my jeans. The only other thing I keep in that pocket is a pack of tissues. My LC9s or my S&W642 goes in my right front pocket or tucked inside my belt, appendix carry with my Remora holster (that's one of the nice things with the Remora, it can serve as both a pocket holster or an IWB holster and needs no clip nor anything attaching it to the belt).

Carry them on the same side is what i do a little longer reach for my 110,
but thats OK seeing if there is trouble its the revolver I'm going for.

The knife is just handi for task not really my defense weapon. ps

Well, I don't carry just a knife. Being a mechanic I carry a Skeletool. I carry it on my right hip due to work. I carry my CZ on my left side and use a cross draw. I just can't carry my work tool on my left side. Firearm is in hand in under a second and I actually find it easier to be in battery and ready to fire. Granted it did take some practice. The 21' rule is easily beatable using a cross draw. JMO.
