Check how you are gripping the pistol when you shoot. You could be hitting the slide lock lever and pushing it up when shooting.

You cold do it on a P89 and maybe some others but not on a P95.... plastic frame all in one piece no grip panels.

Nothing wrong with cross draw if you train to do it right... my problem is I'm limited in what I can learn to do physically semi-fast...
