When I was about 16, I saw my first Redhawk with a 4 inch barrel and have wanted one every since. It finally happened.

Thanks guys. Yes, I do load my own. I just got the bullets in the other day and I found a lb. of powder at a gun show about a month ago. Give me some time in the cave and I will be good to go.

I'll bet a nickle when you were 16 you envisioned a Red Hawk with wood grips. Add that little touch and you're there. Congratulations!

I have one just like it - well, mines a 5.5 inch and a 41 magnum, but I like it just the same. Carry it in a Diamond Custom chest holster when I'm in the woods. A great hunting rig!!!!!

I have one just like it, except in .45 Colt. When I was 16, I don't even remember if Ruger made DA revolvers(1967). I have 3 M29's and a 629 and a 50th Anniversary FlatTop BlackHawk for 44 Mag shooting. Enjoy!!! Bob!
