First of all Thanks for the replies....I have just acquired a single six...Been trying to shoot it and after about 200-250 rounds decided to clean it...I am using the bulk Winchester Xpert HV....after shooting quite a few noticed the shells were are hard to eject from the cylinder using the ejector rod...there was buildup around it.....While cleaning I have a lot of lead splatter around the barrel and on the face of the cylinder.....also a lot around the top strap...kinda looked like a little flame cutting(could also be lead build up)...minute though...do you think it is the soft lead in the ammo?.....I am going to try different ammo next time....I couldn't get it to shoot good enough for me....used to shooting the mkII though...I also tried 50 or so remington golden bullets...I know its junk but it wouldn't shoot to good either.... I hope this was the right forum to put it in..Kinda wondering if it is outta time..any help appreciated....thanks all

Well, I would clean the dickens out of it first. Then do a serious inspection of it. I doubt it has any topstrap flame cutting etc.
But,, it is possible,, (but not as likely) to be out of time,, ESPECIALLY if someone was doing a lot of "fanning" or other inappropiate gun handling.
Try some different ammo,, but here is another trick. Take an old white towel,, and when you go shooting, drape the towel over the firearm where the escaping gasses AND any lead shavings could be caught. It'll be hard to see the sights,, but using the towel,, you can get an idea of the amount of blast and shaving going on.

Thanks Contender, it will be a few days before I can try other ammo.....Thanks for the possibilities.....it will check out and see what happens will keep informed..

like gas in ones car, every gun will react and do things 'differently' ,with different ammo.....THEN if there is a problem address it, like a tight forcing cone or improperly cut one or a smaller diameter 'bore' or the barrel /cylinder gap, etc.......
