Ugh, it’s Prom Weekend here in Dallas. I’m kinda glad our daughter is between boyfriends at the moment. They just go as a big group anyway. She’s Gen Z, they do things differently. So even if one of them has a boyfriend they still all go as a group. There are 10 kids in her group.
So the first dress she bought didn’t fit just right. Enter dress number two. I mention she can wear it next year at Senior Prom. She laughed at my “joke.”
I guess the pistol I shot at the range last month is out dated??? I better fix that.
My wife just drove her to her friends house for a pre-party (no alcohol) then the dance, then the after prom party is back at our house. No alcohol at all. Plus since they aren’t 18, they can’t drive after midnight. I don’t know how they plan all this driving back and forth.
I never went to prom at my high school. Only when I was teaching in Bulgaria. They do prom pretty much the same. It was at a hotel in town. They had dinner and dancing. But the teachers got to drink wine!
The first year I went with all the teachers. The second year I took my wife.
Anyone have any good prom stories?
