Well, now that you open it up, I've been dwelling on the character of Job, in the Bible. Not of his trials, but of his position, and how he came to know what he knew. His concept of God predates all Scripture and his knowledge of the bodily resurrection is the most clearly stated in the Old Testament period.

He had great wealth of livestock, and how each of these critters contributed to his estate.

Interesting to read your post. I just started reading the book of Job again. It has been a while. One thing about reading the Bible, no matter how many times I have read something it seems there is always something I need to be reminded of or something I pick up on that I missed when I read it before.

I've become a puck magnet....skated two games and an hour of pickup play in the last week.
Sunday night took a HARD shot on the inside of my right knee just in between the pads, huge
nasty bruise and a lump of blood/hematoma. Wednesday managed to get hit in left ribs just under

Here in the US we are used to how the moon looks. If you go to Australia it would look like it is upside-down. What about the people on the equator?

I think it was in a Lois L’Amour book. The old cowboy said, “If all you had your entire life was one good horse, you are a lucky man”.

I changed it to “one good dog”. It seemed to give my failing father some peace. He loved his dogs.

On the equator the shadow goes from top top bottom instead of side to side.

I think about Job a lot. I think about his sufferings and how God restored him back to more than what he lost. But I wonder how that works. You can restore money, property etc. I don't think you ever get over losing your family. I can't understand how supposed to think it all ended up ok when in reality it didn't. It's a very confusing thing to me.

Wait. I just had a "thought" kinda like a long awaited bowel movement! At age 77 do I really want to invest the time to learn to shoot a dot sight instead of staying with iron sights for over 60 years?

Oh here comes a Second Thought! If I learn to shoot a dot will I lose the ability to shoot with iron sights?

For me baseball is all about setting up the big moments.

Then it gets exciting. Tough to watch a full game. Good background noise though.

The game on the radio is better than watching it on TV. The 2 hour rebroadcast is good on Tv.

I saw a spring training game with the pitch clock. It was pretty good. I usually don't like many baseball rule changes but that one is good. It kept a good flow to the game and didn't seem like much time was wasted.

My wife and I got the yard work all done yesterday so today is tennis for her and hunting for me. Funny how on a nice day, mowing and edging our small estate isn't really all that much of a chore.
I've got two great dogs, neither of which bark much, but the male, when he does is really, really loud and it makes me smile.
I wish some new Toyota 4runners would show up cause I'm thinking I need a replacement.
Once again, I did not solve the rescue Octordle. Dang it.
