Dogs

If you've had cats and dogs, especially at the same time, you know the truth of the statement "Cats rule, dogs drool". It's not who is bigger or stronger, it's all about attitude. Cats live in distain of all other living creatures, especially man.

Lincoln may have ended slavery, but no one ever informed the cats.

Our dogs and cats play well together. Now, the cats, they don’t play together. Occasionally one will chase the other with no hissing or growling, but most feline interactions involve hissing, growling, and blowing.

My favorites, the current Schnauzer named Stella, all 17 pounds of her, and our deceased rough coat Jack Russell Terrier, Sarge. He found many a dead hog and deer for me and others. Poor boy had diabetes, lost his right eye, and we finally had to put him down. It was one of the hardest days of my life.

One of my vices is Dogs and I would often tell customers one of the best parts of my job was going to peoples houses and meeting their dogs... no joke.
My long time employee Beauregard is going to leave us pretty soon....
but he was pretty much a show dog when we first got him... mostly a joke because he a'int noting but a dawg.... but he was one more good looking dog when young;

My dogs = good.

Everyone else's dogs = keep it at home. I don't want to hear it barking all day and night long, watch it killing turkeys or chasing deer in my front yard and I don't want to pick up it's poo all over MY yard.

If you love your animals, keep them at home.

Good looking dogs.

Everyone’s are actually.

But you’ve told some funny stories about chasing down your dogs. How’s that ankle?

Well, this is Ben. He was my son's boxer. There was a time that our grandaughters were young and my wife and I were retired so would spend many days at their house watching the girls and I became very good buddies with Ben. He was entertaining to be around and you got where you could just read his mind and vice versa. This picture was when the daughter in law had knitted Ben a scarf and she put it on him for the picture. Can't tell by the picture whether he was pleased or not.:p

Our Roxie. She was a sort of rescue from a coworker. She had bit his toddler granddaughter and his wife said she had to go. Sweet little lapdog who had a good 7 years with us. I buried her yesterday.
I'm sure sorry to hear about the loss of your Roxie, Wheelgun.

Our dogs, cats and horses are such a big part of our lives. The loss of each one of them leaves a large vacancy and the memories stay with us for years. We have a large pine thicket on the farm and we bury each of them there and I carve their names into weather-treated 2 x 8's and drive them in. A stroll through that thicket surely conjures up some fine memories.
