The thought did occur to me. Jes tryinta be helpful.
A few years ago I had an appointment at a Dr. office in Las Vegas. They had a no guns allowed sign and a masks required sign. I was carrying concealed and for other health reasons, was unable to wear a mask. My visit did not last long.

Or left the rurals for a location in the suburbs rather than a farther one up in the urbs.
Adit; some would say go suburban, yes, rather than go impala, if the conditions warrant such a choice...

Or the Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles. Darned good place to have your heart replaced. My BIL is still walking around on his spare he got years ago.
There is probably a Mount Sinai hospital is almost every major city in the U.S. I think hospital corporations like names that imply that they are religiously based which some see as morally superior rather than the aggressive business operations that they really are.
Here is IL all medical facilities are places where concealed carry is not allowed, although I am not sure if veterinary clinics are included in that. But I have yet to encounter any hospital, clinic or doctor's office with a metal detector or where someone checks me out with a wand. I don't like leaving a firearm in a parked car; enough said.

Years ago I worked for a 'non profit' hospital system... one year it seems the numbers were good and they gave all employees a 4% raise.... I looked at the end of the year financial statement.... that 4% for the president was more than I made in a year.

There is a saying in the not for profit world. No margin = no mission. If you can't pay your bills and hire staff, you can't do any good.
The Human Resources Director for a large international corporation told me a story one time that stuck with me. The company CEO's compensation package be ame public and she had a number of people complaining to her about how much r he ceo made. She asked them what happens if each of them messed up big time on a decision. They answered that they'd probably lose their jobs. She pointed out that if the CEO made a big, bad decision, not only would he lose his job; but all of them might too. Don't they all want the best they can get in the ceo position? Made them rethink. During my career, I've seen the difference that a CEO can make in an organization- both positive and negative.

Some places even consider the parking lot as being off limits. Leave your gun in your vehicle while at the Post office or the VA and they somehow find out and bingo, you're busted.
That's two that I know of for sure and wonder about other federal offices and their parking lots. They don't even have to post signs. AFAIK, ccity and state here in Arizona may or may not allow in parking lots but sure as hell do not allow in buildings or courtroom during trial.
There was one court cast case where the P.O. was located in a strip mall and they busted a guy for having a firearm in his car in the parking lot. The guy sued and got a nice payday because the parking lot was part of the strip mall and the P.O. was one of several "businesses" on the property. That court ruling was only for that one location. Other P.O.'s located in other strip malls are not included in that ruling.

the irony of not carrying in a Post Office is as far as I can tell the only people who have shot up Post Offices were either Postal Employees or Ex-Postal Employees... If our elected officials had any common sense they would have just made it a law that neither of those could carry inside a post office... of course it still would have not done any good.... but that doesn't matter anyway...
That is one more stupid Maryland law that says "No carry in health care facilities". Was visiting Siani Hospital in Baltimore about three weeks ago and as you enter there is a security checkpoint. There is a sign on the desk that says: "No weapons allowed; carry permit or not."
No Weapons Allowed. Sometime 'wayback, dad and i went to one of iur fed gov buildings to get some maps for mom. At the checkin table we emptied our pockets of knives, our edc that day came to a total count of five. Are You Sure, Now, You Have Relenquished AllYour Weapons?!? I took my hands out of my pockets and splayed them, palm down, on the table while he talked, until The Guard noticed, and then he had a big laugh and finally let us thru. Wouldnt have tried that on a grumpy one...
