Conceal Carry Restrictions

After the news that walmart heiress took walmart biometric facemasks to the riot in l.a. and handed them out to the rioteers, i wont worry about shopping at walmart for a while, which i havent done often anyway. The same stuff i can get there can be had elsewhere, some cheaper, some not.
ok, i'm a bit challenged when it comes to tech. does this mask make it possible to disguise facial features? if so could it make someone look younger? i was just asking for my wife,ok

One of the places I go to is COSTCO which we all know is a "no guns business". Not once have I seen and 'NO GUNS" signs of any type anywhere in the store. Many times I forget and have my S&W M60 in my pocket. Hasn't been a problem and I hope it stays that way on the days I have a lapse in memory. Most of the time when I go, the place is literally mobbed; wall to wall people. I think it would be very interesting if everyone was asked to empty their pockets/purses and see just how many people are armed? I seriously doubt that I would be the only one. About the only times I carry the M60 which is my back up to my Colt Commander is for COSTCO runs and doctors or blood draw visits. The rest of the time I have both on me.
I do wonder just how many do carry here these days as Arizona is a Constitutional state, no permit required???

In Texas, you can not carry in some businesses if they give verbal or written notice that it is not allowed. There is a specific line in the contract you sign to get your COSTCO membership that says you can't carry there. They don't post signage because you have been given written notice. I have seen several restaurants that say no carrying allowed on their menus or hand out a separate card saying the same. Chili's, for one, was doing this at one time but may have stopped due to public backlash. I believe Sam's club has the same language in their's but they don't seem to enforce it much.

The news did not mention such extra features, desireable as they may seem.
I am surprised to not see guy fawkes visage grease-pencil'd on any of them.

Wal-Mart's public position is that they go with the local and state law.
My local Walmart had a sign up for a while but I haven't seen it in some time. Said something like, "We have no problem with concealed carry. We would rather not see people open carrying a firearm as it disturbs some shoppers." I take that "some shoppers" as transplants from California and snowbirds from east of the Mississippi.

I still think it is the space aliens messing with us...
As for the mask thing... back during Covid our state attorney general decided that one could still carry while wearing a mask.
Just saying.... mask are almost still the norm. I see people still wearing them... I think it's not for their protection but they are feeling under the weather and are trying not to spread it.
We have a few folks that show up at church on occasion wearing one... not always and so that is the only logical conclusion.

Some of you folks delve deeply into conspiracy hypothesis.
while bill gates did not directly help the chinese ,techs that were in his facility in china moved on to develope programs for the government's facial recognition. bill gates did predict a pandemic in 2015 or 16. bill and melinda gates foundation did donate heavily to the vaccine programs in africa and other places. anthony fauci was involved along the way. hence the question mark at the end hoping someone would clarify as far as the facial recognition program.

I agree with your well reasoned post above.

One difference between home and shopping center is one is open to the public and the other is not. That should figure in the legal reasoning.
My reasoning isn't based on legality. It's based on respecting the desires of the property owners.
Folks may argue that the signs aren't legal or misplaced or any other number of excuses. But if you see the sign common(really not anymore) courtesy dictates you respect the wishes of the owner.
It's not always about the law. To put it bluntly if you do find excuses or outright violate the owners desires, your mama didn't raise you right.
That will anger some. But I was raised to treat everyone with respect upon meeting them. If they later prove unworthy of respect, so be it
Respect is easy to get. Easier to loose. And one of the hardest things to regain.
For those lessons I will be eternally grateful to my parents.

I agree with you on that Jeepnik but I also believe in "doing no harm". and a lot of our rules and laws are designed to in theory stop people from doing harm that it seems can't control themselves. If I'm not harming anyone by what I'm doing something I'm pretty much okay with breaking 'that specific rule'... now if somehow I intentionally or even accidentally do harm while breaking it then I should face the consequences.
