Most modern day Christians do not realize that a Jewish day starts at sundown, and ends at the next sundown. They didn't have clocks, so a "day" starts in the evening and ends in the next evening.
This concept of a day seems strange to us that use modern time definitions.
So a Jewish Sabbath (Shabbot) starts sundown Friday and ends sundown Saturday.
A Jewish year is exactly 360 days, and a Jewish month is exactly 30 days (30 x 12=360)
So when dating the Bible you must use Hebrew dating conventions.
Also strange to us is that the Jews do not have names for the days of the week. They use numbers.
For example if I told you I'd meet you on Friday for lunch, I would tell you I'll meet you on the 6th day for lunch.
Jews also use a Lunar Calendar .
Modern western world uses a Gregorian Calendar based on the Sun. (remember the pagan Romans worshipped the sun)
The Gregorian Calendar is named after Pope Gregory, who messed up the entire modern time line.
Before that we had the Julian Calendar. Even worse....
Sunday is the first day of the week, not Monday.
