It is easy to conceal.
I have both cylinders. 22lr & 22magIs that .22LR??
I'm sure you are pretty much right but I do have a few alternate carrys.Just to be 'that guy'.
I guess it's better than nothing ... when the guy on meth is sitting on top of you then put the barrel in his ear, cock the hammer and pull the trigger... it'll do the job.
ONLY way they will work! ;-)I remember reading somewhere that these small revolvers are a two handed gun. You hold the bad guy with one hand and shoot him with the other! : )
Agree, many people do not realize how many "humans" have succumbed to the .22lr. The mouse that roared! I read several Medical studies on what a .22lr can do to a human being. Apparently it is very unpredictable in that it can turn abruptly, travel amazing distances(inches) inside someone, bounce off bones to cause further tissue damage etc. All the reports concluded that death from a GSW with a .22lr may not be instantaneous in all cases but it is definitely on the way!I’ve seen the entrance and exit holes a 2” barreled.22 lr make on a human torso. I do not recommend trying it out. You may well be dead before medical help arrives.
That’s why I always carry my NAA Mini regardless of what else i have.
If you have ever had the opportunity to read Police reports erc. It is amazing how many times bad guys N good guys miss, at even very close range!I suggest you familiarize yourself with the anatomy of the human head, so you can hit something vital. It is surprisingly easy to miss the brain.
Nerves of rubber!!!If you have ever had the opportunity to read Police reports erc. It is amazing how many times bad guys N good guys miss, at even very close range!
Lots of adrenalin, lack of training, all sorts of shtf stuff!Nerves of rubber!!!
A .25 will bounce off a good leather jacket.True about rimfires. Too bad the don’t chamber it in .25 acp. More reliable and essentially ballistically the same.
No issues with removing cases as you have to remove the cylinder and poke them out anyway. As to head space take a tip from S&W circa 1917 and put in a ledge in the chambers.
I have a Beretta 21A in .25 acp. Care to test that theory?A .25 will bounce off a good leather jacket.
I notice you didn't mention the weight. The Sig weighs exactly twice what the revolver weighs. 17.8 ounces vs 8.9 ouncesIf you look at the advertised physical dimensions, I think I would rather go with a
Sig P365, which is a tad shorter, front to back, and a quarter inch taller, if you go
with the 12 round magazine. Not to mention +P 9mm.![]()
No, I wouldn't care to shoot a 9 oz 9mm. But most things in life are a tradeoff. To me, weight is kinda important. I personally carry a glock 43 everytime I drive away from home on my side. As you probably do your Sig 365. And I am aware your Sig holds 12 rounds and my Glock 43's only 7 rounds. I prefer the Glock just because it feels better in my hand.. But when home in my comfortable shorts with no belt messing around in the yard or out back in the garage or going to check the mail I like a very light gun to slide in my pocket or around my neck. The lightest one I have weighs only 4 ounces. By the way, I also have a Bond arm 45-410. I like it but it is heavy and bulky.Would you want to shoot a 9mm that only weighed 9oz.?
Not me.
P.S. I have a Bond Arms derringer, right at the same size, that weighs 20.5oz.
They make molds for .25 acp hollowpoints. You can cast them as hard of soft as you want. But I will tell you, the .25 acp is a huge pain in the butt to reload. If they loaded a decent (soft lead HP?) in a 25 acp, that might be an idea!
