Edit, you have already been given a listing of the campaigns I was awarded for. But since you are to lazy to research them don't expect to spoon feed you. When you have documentation that you are in anyway involved with those campaigns. ☠️

Everyone knows all you ever did was stoke coal to whatever destination the ship was headed in. You don't even know all the ports the ship stopped at. 😂🤣

Just had to call Thing 1, her husband's face is all over the news for a dead puppy. Asked them both to scrub all info they may have on their phones relating to me. Baby Boats understood and it's in the works Go figure that this would be on this network and $h!t would appear on TV.

Guess I've got to go quite and leave the neighborhood for the weekend at least. Guess I'll take Grandma and her little dog to Fort Stewart. Bad folks can follow me there if the wish. Guess it's a safe zone in my opinion. 🤔

So you were on a coal fired ship? What year was that? I've worked on coal fired boilers before. Were you ever actually in the boiler or engine rooms?
I've serviced Riley and Winkler stokers as well as various oil burners. The array of equipment is endless.
 
You did notice that I told you I have a sea service counter of ZERO. I've never officially been on a Navy Ship. I've never officially been on a Navy Submarine,
Yet BABY BOATS called me when her ship caught fire and She got her Yellow shirt on the KITTY. At 4 in the mourning my dead Mother was laughing in her grave, Serve me right. 🤔

When WAS the Navy's last coal burner retired?

My granddad was an "engineer" on Great Lakes ore carriers. I remember going to visit him when they were loading at the docks - down in the engine room, dirty coveralls and ever present coffee cup. They were diesel boats by then but I know he started on the coal burners back in the late 1920's or early '30's.

Grandpa was a Snipe!

The US Navy converted their last coal fired ships to oil in the 1920's. The last coal fired laker was the S. T. Crapo which was built in the 1920's and converted to oil in the 1990's. It was scrapped about 4 years ago.
There is still a coal fired car ferry on the lakes but who knows when it will be put out of business

I'm willing to bet I made more trips across the a great lakes under sail than most here even made? I'm going to go out on a limb and dare anyone here that has made even a single regatta trip across the Great Lakes to chime in. 🤔

If you remember the movie "The African Queen", I found the boat by accident, when I was on a road trip through the Florida Keys. She is in Key Largo at the Holiday in. She been renovated, and giving tours. Her original engine was wood fired. The whole thing is pretty interesting reading, if you're into old boats.
 
Require more capacity? Maybe not but having spare mag(s) or speed loaders makes sense.

When I was training Security Officers you'd be surprised at the at how many students did not have ANY duty gear. When Florida finally allowed them to carry automatics many stuck with a revolver.

Yeah there were several well equipped Ninja wanna be, but most were living hand to mouth and just wanted to elevate their unarmed D license to an armed G license for a few dollars per hour extra.
 
I will say I have a good friend a retired Marine DI who did a short stint as a security officer at a Federal Court house... he explained how you delt with troublesome visitors.... you walked up to them and told them they needed to stop the disruption or what ever they were doing ... if they did not or looked like they weren't then you told them what would happen if they didn't stop or proceeded... then if then did proceed you did what you said you were going to do.

He did it on the sloop, "John B" with his grandfather and wrote the song. The original lyrics were "Around Sandusky we did roam" but that was changed to appeal to a broader audience.

That was how I ended up with a Ruger P95. Thing 1' s Greek wanted to be an armed Security Guard. He thought the P95 was the bees knees. Neither of them made the grade unfortunately. Once he departed I was left holding the ⚓
