Thought it would be nice to have a place to see what kind of "mileage" others are getting from their SR series. My security six is 35 years old and has est. around 3000 rounds thru it (just broke in LOL). I've read one range owner that had a rental S six with 1,200,000 rounds with mostly basic maintenance...WOW!! (yes over a million!)

Dont expect those numbers, but I plan to shoot this alot more then the S6 because it's awesome... and I can.

To Date: 2 weeks -- 250 rounds and 100%...barely got her wet. 8)

Ya...I know its an extreem claim, but being a rental / demo they could track ammo sold I suppose. Used 4 days per week over 35 years thats 168 rounds average per day used.

Mostly I'm just curious what kind of life is possible from the SR series or even similar designed Glocks.

I put 250 rounds through my SR9c once a week so about 1000 rounds to date. P95 as well gets 250 once a week so roughly 4500 rounds. You gotta love ruger they take a beating and just keep on rolling lol

SR9 3150 rounds factory ammo (Dry Fires = Unknown)
0 Failure to Fire
0 Failure to Feed
0 Failure to Eject
Man I love this pistol, THANKS RUGER !!!! It goes bang every time, I bet my life on it!

I've got right around 1000 rounds threw my SR9C now, only had it about 3 weeks or so.
ZERO failures of any type so far!

I envy those of you who have the time/resources to shoot that much! I've got around a thousand through my SR9 - NO malfunctions after the first 50 or so - and one trip back to Ruger for a broken spring cup. It's my primary carry gun now.

The average Joe like me HAS to reload be able to shoot that much.
I bought my Dillon 450B about 30 years ago and it has paid for itself hundreds of times over. Besides saving $, reloading is a great hobby in itself and can provide great enjoyment on it's own once you get into it.

1300 rounds, 1month. Great Gun. No failures. I love my SR9c, haven't seen reliability like this since my Glock 23. (3500rnds through that so far). In regards to count, I keep a tally of boxes at my work bench where I clean my pistols and keep my spent brass in them to give to a friend who reloads.

Yeah, I'm reloading .45Colt right now, but saving all my 9mm brass, have the dies - all I need are primers and bullets. I'll get on that right after deer season...and less work...and less meetings...and less...well, you get the picture!

I have 250 through my SR9c so far..no failures at all with factory ammo. (had problems with light reloads).

As for other firearms, it's easy to keep track when you reload your own. My P95 has ~ 22,000 rounds on it.

800 and counting - purchased 9/15. First 100 were a bit off putting but no malfunctions after that.

I've not shot much lately but am between 2000-2500. Zero malfunctions with endless taking apart and tinkering.

I have about 450 through my SR9c in the past two months. I shot a mix of HP and FMJ ammo and everything functioned flawlessly. The only issue my gun has had was the mag release pin trying to work it's way out but a little loctite seems to have cured that.

I have about 500 rounds through my SR9C and I have had a few issues but nothing that I am worried about. A few FTF's and today a few FTE's. I blame the FTF's on cheap Walmart ammo, but they did seem to fire after a second attempt. Today's FTE's were no doubt due to dirty ammo. After about 250 rounds it jammed and I noticed that it was fairly dirty inside. After three more jams in a row, I wiped it out and it fired perfectly. Thankfully my life will never depend on the cheap, dirty, target ammo. I use Hornady Critical Defense, Corbon +p JHP, or Winchester Supreme Elite +p JHP. I hope I can depend on one of those to do the trick if necessary.

13-1400 rds through my SR9 not one malfunction of any kind, and 94 yes 94 rds through my LCP. Just got it yesterday and only had 100 rds so I saved 6 for carry till I can find more ammo.

Got another 175 through it today for a total of 425 rounds in 3 weeks. I brought out the .357 magnum to run through some old ammo, and the difference in recoil to the SR9C is huge. Kinda forgot how brutal the .357 was to shoot in comparison. I most definately shoot tighter groups with the SR9C as well...really liking this new gun. 8)

I've got about 400 rounds through my SR9c now, not a single issue. I've used Georgia Arms reloads, as well as Federal Champion (WallyWorld), and a couple boxes of Speer Gold Dot hollow points that I carry on a daily basis.

I bought mine in Feb 2010. I've got about 1000 factory and 2500 hand load through it. My favorite load right now is a Montana Gold 115 rg JHP over 6.4 gr Power Pistol.

I have had no problems and thoroughly enjoy this pistol.

I have approx 500 through mine. ZERO problems. WWB, Federal (Wal-Mart), CCI Blazer (non reloadable) and Remington JHP and a few Hornady Critical Defense. LOVE THIS GUN!!!!!!!

Got another 100 downrange today for a total of 525 at 100% still.

I did have something happen that hasn't before and I'm not sure the cause is me or something else. The trigger did not reset once and this happened after I decided to change grip and use more toward the knuckle on trigger finger. (Pulled it, released it, then it fired the second pull) I was having trouble switching from the security six with heavy pull to the SR9c and being consistent. Changing the grip and finger position totally fixed the problem going from 1 to the other, but possibly I didn't let off the trigger in time for reset?? Is that a possible cause...not sure? First semi-automatic.

1100 so far. It shares time with a Remington R1 1911 & S&W 686. I enjoy shooting the Ruger as much as the others.

flgolfer 29, Cool pics!! Not trying to hijack the thread but curious how you like the Remington 1911. Keep those round counts coming. Glad to see so many others enjoying the SR9 as much as I do.

Gun Fan, thanks on the pics compliment. I really like the Remington, especially since I replaced the trigger; it is a blast to shoot. Fit and finish on the pistol is very good also.

flgolfer29, Thanks for the reply! Seen some good press on them, but have not seen one in person yet. I did not notice the replaced trigger the first time. Guess I just could not keep my eyes off the Ruger.
