All cost aside, zero. As I do not do cartridges measured in the metric system, nor would I ever want one smaller than .45" in caliber either!
Long Live 45 Something or another!

I don't even like 9mm that much, yet somehow pistols chambered for it have added up:

Luger
P-38
Cz-75 (x2)
Glock 17
Glock 19
HiPower (x2)
SIG P226

None....9mm are for the guys who sit down to pee - LOL

Flame On !!
That's true and I often do, especially at night. Hate turning the light on in the bathroom... just drop your shorts and sit down.
As many of you know 357 Sig is my choice ammo (which is technically 9mm) but I have a LOT of standard 9mm ammo.
When most folks get around to asking me how many guns I own, I dodge the question by saying I feel one should have about 200 rounds of ammo for each gun they have, just in case.
Right now in inventory I have between 5 & 6000 rounds of 9mm.
But of course a number of you have much more than that and probably only two or three 9mm pistols.

But here is the good and bad about 9mm; it is the most common caliber now, at least that's what I see. And so, say you are going to 'be prepared" for a bad situation... where you might need to acquire in one way or another more ammo and say you needed that ammo not just for yourself and your handgun & rifle (yep, I'm gong there again) but for another person or two. Seems to me 9mm would be the most logical choice.

(I'm gong to fess up here, back in the day of overfeeding my gun addiction I acquired not only a few Ruger P95's but also three original Ruger Police Carbines in 9mm. )
I'm pretty sure if just one more of my chroma zones got twisted a bit more I'd be living out in the hills of Montana with several wives and lots of children.
Well, either that or long dead and gone.

If things get so bad that I needed more ammo than what I have stashed back I would simply gather the ammo and firearms (along with knives, matches, and other resources) from the bodies laid before me [or if all else fails they'll have the opportunity to collect mine]. There really is no need to overly hoard stuff if adversaries will be bringing their things to you. On the other hand I have plenty for a life time of hunting stashed back already.

Paranoid is different than suspecting.
Agree. Even though most info can be found, Voluntary info provided makes no sense
To answer the OP question, not really sure, I might have something, i just don't know for sure, sorta kind of wish I did but can't afford anything, there was a time I did but don't see it now in front of me, maybe one day but no guarantee...............................

Just one here. Small steel frame about the size of a Colt Pocket .32/.380. Zastava Model 88.

I've had a few, but I consider the 9mm to be a single-purpose cartridge, and that is for a carry gun. And since I have no reason for a service carry gun, my concealed carry gun is a Glock 43. That is the only 9mm I have, unless you count the convertible .357/9mm Blackhawk. For calibers that I have a real affection for, (.45 Auto, .45 Colt, .41 Mag, .22 LR) I have no problem having multiple guns for each of these.

I'm actually quoting TexasRAT above for coach64, my father was a recon Marine in Korea in 1950 and he saw and experience more than most people could imagine.... back in the 90's him and some buddies from work went in together and bought. batch of SKS rifles and with each rifle came 1200 rounds of ammo. One of the guys who went in with this wanted more ammo and asked my father to sell him 600 rounds.. when he came to pick it up he wanted to make sure my father was okay with only the 600 rounds and my father replied if he needed more and could not acquire it with what he had then he did not deserve it. I actually got taught this in my brief training in the military a very long time ago... the 'team' I was in were dropped into a swamp and each had 3 rounds of ammo... 7.62 NATO... when we finally got extracted we each had a lot more.

I have to laugh. At the beginning of this thread (days ago), I couldn't say that I owned any 9mm aside from a Gen 3 Glock. Was just drawing a blank.

After further thought, I'm shocked at how many that I have and just forgot about.

Keltec Sub2000
G17 Glock
Tec-9
JARD J67
Ruger SR1911 Target 9mm
Foxtrot Mike FM9
Extar EP9
S&W M&P v1

But the thing I find even more funny is that I have more 38/357's than I do 9mm's. When I started in this hobby, I thought semi-autos were the coolest. Now, I go into my LGS, and barely even look at the sea of semi's (just a quick scan to see if there's anything interesting like a LAR Grizzly, Coonan or Wildey) and then it's off to ogle the revolvers. Hahaha

What yourself Laserbait.... I'm not into it but there are a number of folks here that are really into the older Ruger revolvers.... but then you probably already know that. I'm amazed at what a few of the guys have and bring to our East Coast Gatherings.

Edit 3/15/25: I meant, "Watch yourself Laserbait...."
