It kind of depends on how you define a "9mm". I've got maybe a half dozen handguns that can fire 9mm ammo, but almost all of them can also shoot other calibers (.45 ACP, .40 S&W, .38 Super, .357 SIG, .380 Auto, .22 LR, etc.), and a lot of them left the factory originally chambered for something other than 9mm. Ditto for PCCs. (IMHO, 9x19mm is just today's version of yesterday's .38 Special: a cheap-to-shoot cartridge that is kind of/mostly adequate for multiple uses, so a lot of gun owners end up with more than one!)

As always FWIW, YMMV, IMHO, etc.

The caliber is pretty popular and inexpensive good sales I have 5 92FS , CZ SP01, beretta PX4 and HK P2000 almost forget Ruger PC Carbine
I own none! I am a revolver man, and the 9mm is too much of a pea shooter. While I can find some very limited 9mm ammo for about $.21/rd, I can also find some very limited .45 ACP ammo for about $.35.rd. The best deals current for .38 Spec ammo comes in around $.37/rd. But unless you have a revolver with a swap able 9mm cylinder, you have to have a pistol for that caliber. Ruger makes a Blackhawk .357 Mag (SA) with a swap able 9mm cylinder. This is the only way I can see justifying having a 9mm caliber, unless you are biased towards pistols. Other than having a 'large' magazine with pistols, the revolvers can do everything pistols can do, and a lot more. And if you want power in a handgun, just about re revolvers, with a few few exceptions where the pistol is made to shoot revolver ammo, such as with Desert Eagle pistols.

For those interested in checking out the cost of ammo across many calibers, message me for my ballistics file! This file includes costs, availability, and ballistics info.

I only have a couple. I have a Max 9 for carry. I also have a Compact Dagger I've had for a while. I would trust it to carry but I bought it mostly because, (other than the locking block & pins), it works with Glock parts & magazines. The Dagger would be my third choice for carry though.

Shocking to actually count them because 9mm is not a favorite caliber of mine, but if you include Speed Sixes, Service Sixes, the prototype Security Six, SP101s, and convertible Blackhawks, my tally comes to 40. A few of them are even semi-auto pistols 🤣

-- updated to also mention SP101s which were counted but not acknowledged --

One of these days I might buy one of those gun things that you all are talking about. I wonder about why anyone would start a thread asking people to list their inventory of firearms. Is the OP working for the ATF? Glad I have nothing to worry about.
No Vito I don't work for atf just curious that's all and I get to see pictures of beautiful guns

Daddy? Is that you, Daddy?

LOL

When you have bought tax stamps for suppressors and SBR's, on an open forum telling the whole internet world I have several 9mm's is a very nonissue for Me. I also buy tons of Ammonia Nitrate too!! 😂😂😂

That is loaded question, kind of reminds me of the time, right before bedtime, the phone rang. I answered, the young female voice said, "Is this Sammy? I want to know if I left my panties in the backseat of yo caa?" I responded, "I don't know, there are several pairs back there what color are they?" She hung up tittering.
My wife came to bed and asked, "who called?" I said, "An obscene phone call". She said, "And you talked to them that long?"

I have a PC Charger, Taurus PT 908, SP101 model 5783 & Hi-Point Model 995 Carbine.

BTW: The Taurus is the most finicky gun I have while the Hi Point shoots what ever I feed it.

I’m down to a couple of HK’s and a cylinder for a Blackhawk. I’ve had many, many more pass through my hands than I can remember. It’s not a favorite caliber- but it’s attraction is low ammo cost and minimal recoil. There’s a couple thousand rounds on the shelf, probably last me the rest of my life.

I remember when .38 Spl was the cheap ammo.
I remember when you could get used .38 brass by the shovel full out of a big barrel at the gun store…

Side note- they also had a barrel full of decommissioned 1911’s. Cut in half with a torch and rusted up. Sad to see…
