Single Six loading gate problems

Sometimes the loading gate on my New Model Single Six will not open, only once in a while. Hammer cocks and cylinder rotates, do it a couple of times and it opens. Any ideas ? Thanks.

Gate spring has a burr? I have stoned these springs to work smoother. And oil contact area.
