I have a single six 32H&R with birds head grip. I would like to change out the hammer to a Bisley style? Where would be a good place to purchase
one? Is there a specific one I need? And is this a job that I would be able to handle any specific tools needed?
Thank you
Carl

Last checked (6/17) recently w/ Ruger parts there were no Stainless Single Six Bisley Hammers available, (Stainless Bisley Grip Frames either)they are somewhat hard to come by, very limited supply.
Blue steel one, Midway, Brownells, and I have a extra one of those right now too should you need it.

Midway also shows where you can special order a Stainless Hammer, I have never done this but Midway does buy alot of parts from Ruger and might have better luck, for the most part thier prices are good too.

The Hammer has to have the Bisley Hump taken off, I use a small die grinder to get the bulk off and finish w/ hand file, emery paper to 400 grit.

Re-blue the steel or just finish the stainless.

Tools would just be what you need to dis-assemble the gun.

Here is my 3, .32's, The shorty has the Bisley Hammer Mods as mentioned above.

I also just did 1/2 the .45 Vaquero combo and working on the other half right now.

Another project that happened a few years ago. Using the rare stainless Single Six Bisley Hammer. No hump removal required when you use the Bisley Grip Frame.

Well the 32 I have is a blue cc it was NOS when I bought it from the dealer a blue hammer will work, will I need a triger also? I will try midway

Thanks
Carl

The Trigger you have will work just fine. If you want to use a Bisley trigger you will have to open the Trigger Opening on the bottom of the Grip Frame.

-OR-

You can modify the Bisley Trigger to fit the hole. The Stainless Vaquero in picture #2 is this trigger mod.

I have a NEW Bisley Trigger too. PM Sent

I have a NEW Blue Bisley Hammer I would like to sell you. $31 shipped.

pm sent and thank you
Your 45 that you converted the hammer on awsome. That is what I would like to put together in .44spl

Bisley hammers are a nice touch. If you can find one just use a BlackHawk hammer. Almost as low a profile and it Drops right in.
