On some targets, like silohuettes, it's totally inside the ring. Others normally are touching. A 1" group is a 1" group, inside an inch, IMHO

I'd go with whatever everybody seems to think is the standard method. Not that much of a difference anyway. Still damn tough to do.

Well, I don't usually put my 'recipes' on fora, but since it is already on the target pic..... It was 28.0 grains of H-110 under a 200 grain Nosler SJHP. The manual gives 28.5 as max, and I usually have the best luck backing off just a bit; as I did here. It averages just over 1500 fps.revhigh":fd8w8zeb said:I think you said it was a 44 mag, right ?? What was the load, Shoot44 ? My current 44 mag load is 20.0 grains of 2400 under an Oregon Trail 240 grain Lasercast SWC. My jacketed recipe for a 240 grain JHP bullet is at the top of the 4227 data. THey are both spectacularly accurate recipes. Caution - they are HOT loads ... always start low, and work up and ALWAYS verify ANY load in multiple reloading manuals,

Yeah, me too. I like the lighter bullets going faster. Here's what one of them looked like after passing through a whitetail. Was under the skin on the far side. Impressive lung damage made him easy to find! Only went about 25 yards and "DRT".revhigh":grfsrk1l said:Those are some hot loads too Shoot44. I tend to use the heavier bullets in my loads, but those 180 and 200 must be screamers. I love the hot ones !!

I'm a fan of good guns, regardless of the writing stamped on the side. :wink:I didn't know you were a CZ fan too.
There's a tremendous difference in shooting by yourself at the range (or even with a couple of friendly rivals) and shooting in a match (or under some other kind of stress). No doubt about it.Now all you have to do is shoot it under pressure.
