New P95 Rear Sight

Bought a new P95 today and after I got home found the rear sight so far to the right part of it pass the slide like hanging off. Loosen set screw and it slide back and forth easily.Center it and tighten set scew, will try and shoot it tomorrow. Is this normal ?
 
I had a similiar problem - mine was centered and I wanted it off-set (shooting left). When I had gunsmith install Trujicons - he centered it. Told me I needed to change my grip- he looked at how I was holding the gun. I have small hands and was not grasping the gun correctly. I have not been out to shoot - need time to go to gun school!

I just wish someone made an in-expensive sight moving tool.
 
Centered the sight and tighted it down, shot it to day with no problems. Talked to coffee pot and he said use some lock tight on it.
