Bought a Standard (1966) that was previously owned by a 'hammer mechanic". Going to spend some time and turn it into a better product. Have to find some proper grips for it

Well after disassembly and a closer inspection I t looks like the first thing I need is the recoil spring assembly., Where it slides into the forward end of the bolt, is broken off.
 
Bolt was dragging and wouldn't go into battery without a 'bump' on the back of the bolt. Tried a new bolt and it worked fine. I spent three days ,off and on, looking for what was hanging up. Found a burr on one area and after lots of lite file and reassemble, take apart and more lite filing I FINALLY got it to function as designed. The IDIOT that had it before I got should be taken to the wood shed.
