Has anyone had there revolver refinished? I don't want camo but maybe a flat color with good protection. maybe hydro dipped?

having been in the refinish business for more years can we can recall, we;ve done most of them ourselves and have sent a few out for 'plating' but the blue, black oxide, matte or polished as well as bead or sand blast, and either blue or black oxide as well as the parkerizing in either zinc or manganese phosphates, alll depends on just what the customer wanted, they all look good and most wear good, never liked the "plating" as they do tend to crack or peel "eventually", with hard ,heavy use...besides, gotta refit the parts to properly "fit" due to the build up of any plating.....these ain;t bumpers you know........
yes, there are even spray-on coatings out there as you say "in camo" or even just a plain ,flat black......depends on just what YOU want to do with it and what YOU want it to look like, and how much money YOU want to spend.
Lots of folks out there, "specialize" in a whole slew of finishes and coatings, but do your homework and find out the LONG term ramnifications of ANY of them.................
Thank the Good Lord, I am now retired so don't have to deal with or breathe in, ANY of these any longer, though we do still dabble in "parts" in a pinch to help out "problem guns".......do the prep and send them out..Good luck, ,,,,,,,,and

Merry Christmas...........................
