Local flooding

Our neighbors are in a real pickle! The water knocked over their concrete bridge supports.

Yikes. Thank goodness no serious flooding here yet but … 1.7 inches so far today and 1.5 inches Wednesday and more coming for Sat, Sun and Mon.

I hate it for the folks who lost the bridge.

Around here,, even after 6 months,, we still have a large percentage of bridges still out. I drove through a different area the other day,, & I saw at least 6 bridges still out & about a dozen more that had been replaced or repaired.
In Asheville,, a major road just re-opened this week,, with the completion of a new bridge,, on a major road.
