Last night, on our local news,, a local politician, or board member of a township's committee of some sort,, was captured on a dash camera of a car throwing a baggie of dog poop onto the hood/dash area of a Tesla. Apparently,, the car owner was the Chief of Police of a neighboring town, and the Tesla was his private car. He posted the video, showing this older couple, walking their dogs, and the guy, looks directly at the car & flips the baggie on the car. He wife watched him do it.
Well, AFTER the video went viral,, the guy came forward, and made a statement of apology, and resigned his position from that town's board.
The LEO Chief,, well, he's being a very nice guy & not attempting to do anything directly to the poop thrower.

But it was funny as heck to see it.

You know dog owners think it's just fine to let their animals defecate on other's property. Some say they "pick it up". Truth is it always leaves some mess and smell behind.

We had a fellow that refused to clean up. Said it was just part of nature. Then night after night feces paper and all began showing up in his manicured lawn. Hey, it's just nature.

I figure if you have a dog it should defecate in your and only your yard.

The poop thrower was with his wife,, and they were walking two dogs. The poop had been picked up & was in one of those little baggies for that.

True. Now if I could just do something about the coons, possums and skunks that frequent my place... But they just don't seem to take to litter box training.

Those you can shoot around here when they become a problem. Or trap and euthanize. But you can’t do that to your neighbors cat.

A friend of mine was a minor league baseball catcher for a couple of years in the 1980's. He and his wife were walking their Labrador and some joker on a bicycle rode past them and made a lewd comment. My friend channeled his big league ambitions and threw to 2nd base for the out!
He planted that bag of warm fresh dog crap right on the back of the idiots neck and it went up the side of his face!
The kid wiped the side of his face and saw what it was. He let out a shriek and crashed his bicycle. My friend and his wife just turned around and walked home. He said he never saw the kid again.

When I had my place in the country, my neighbor wouldn’t maintain his fence. His cows would get loose and crap in my yard. Compared to that, dog poop is nothing.
I would rather step in cow manure than dog manure , but if it was open range , then it is your responsibility to keep them out.
Im not taking sides , just making a comment.
I wouldn't want my neighbors cows in my yard either.

As far as dogs going in others yards.
You can't blame the dog , blame the disgusting owner.

but if it was open range , then it is your responsibility to keep them out.
That actually depends on the state. Montana is a "fence them out" state, I have never cared to check on Utah, but I know there are some states that put the onus on the owner of animal, not the owner of the land.

Had this problem with a neighbor. I had asked him several times not to let his dog run loose around the neighborhood as his dog would take a yugo in my front yard which in turn caused other dogs to also, so one day I picked up all of the poop took it to his house and taped it to the front door with a note stating that I'm returning what your dog and other dogs left in my front yard, haven't had a problem since.
I like dogs and had several of them. My wife trained them to poop on the side of the garage before I took them for a walk all I had to do is ask them if they wanted to go for a walk and they would run over to the side of the garage and do their business, this way I didn't have my dog pooping in someone's yard or any place else that wasn't appropriate.

What you say is true. Not all cattle land is open range.
If it is open range and you don't want them on your land , it is your responsibility to fence them out.
If it is not open range , then the cattle owner is responsible to keep them on his own land.
Not all states have open range.
They do have it in parts of my state.

Cameras are EVERYWHERE and morons just do not get it.

I installed a video system at my gf's house and have to watch it for a loser who keeps cutting her Christmas lighting wires.

Was at a long time customers house on Monday and walked around the corner to pee in a bush and had the foresight to look up and there was a camera looking at me.
I used to work with a guy who worked a 5am to 1pm shift and he had a 30 mile ride to get there. He was on the way in and he had a call of nature that he couldn't ignore. He stopped his car, grabbed a roll of paper towels and did the clenched cheek waddle between 2 houses to relieve himself.
He was squatting down holding onto the gas meter letting it rip when a light came on over his head and a woman screamed
"What the HELL are you doing "???
He pulled his pants up in mid squirt and ran to his car while still letting go. She saw his uniform and called the prison so by the time he got there a Sergeant was waiting for him.
He got sent home for the day and the next day he got a talking to about going in someone's yard.

Cat owners who let their cats outside are worse. They don’t even pretend to pick anything up.

Finding cat turds with bare feet while at the fire pit is a bummer for sure.....and the urine smell in the front flower beds next to the door will knock you out on a hot summer day....

Have the same problem.....the racoons for whatever reason like to lay few piles on the stairs between the upper and lower back decks. Weird....then there are the bears leaving presents in the spring/summer months....

But you can’t do that to your neighbors cat.

Want to bet on that?......there may or may not be some collars in the woods next to my driveway.

Job security for some.....during my career I lost count how many cases I made where the goofs stared right at the camera before before concealing cash/product.

Covert cameras were the best.......you would see a lot more than just crimes being committed....

Well, I viewed the video looking for the creep who was cutting my GF's outdoor Christmas light wiring and it took a while as all of these tedious searches go and at 16x playback speed I saw the lights go from on to off without a sign of a shady character stopping with wire cutters. I backed up several minutes and saw it at 2x, then "rewound" again to view at 1x my being shocked is putting it mildly.

I called Tina and ran it for her at 1x and into view on the lawn sauntered a cottontail rabbit who took a few hops, stopped to chew a morsel and the lights went out!!! I / we expected one of the non-Christian neighbors all along and I guess we were wrong about our fellow man.

It was a funny relief that we now know it was not a mean spirited neighbor :) I call it an early Christmas gift from above!

Reagan told an old joke about a republican politician while out stumping, made a stop and got a crowd of countryfolk, but there wasent a stump to stand on, so he walked over to the top of a pile of manure and speechified (to use a davey crockett word), and at the end was commended on his fine speech. Yep, he says, its one of my best, but its the first time i gave one from a democratic platform!

Not directly, but indirectly? I have a son in law who is a Police Lieutenant, I hear things LOL. Not directly will never happen, but, Im sure this ex town bord member just may be indirectly involved with various conversation's with officers in the future.

Never trust that there is not a camera. Alan funt taught me that long before i got a job watching them with ptz joystick at hand.

There were only a few places we were not permitted to install without a investigative warrant...restrictions varied by state. Some States Attorney's were good about it. But is was rare we ever had to install in those places which was fine by me....

Just like the referees, some clients are not obligated to consult the video before or after taking action. Others have been very glad they had it.

Boy is this true! Its your dog and therefore your responsibility.

I had a neighbor right next door to me who let his big dog run loose and poop near my trash cans so i had to dodge it and eventually scoop it up. I finally got tired of it and since he parked his Mercedes Roadster in his rough gravel driveway i thought he deserved to dodge is dogs poop himself so i scooped up a big pile and carried it next door and dumped it right below the door handle in the gravel so he likely would step in it while getting into his car. It must have worked because i did it more than once until it stopped.
