I wouldn't worry about it unless it was impacting me directly.

From experience, I agree.
The most I would do would be to share doorbell/game camera video with the local police.
Any personal interaction with law enforcement, aside from sharing video, puts you at risk of retribution from the bad guys.

Sadly, the millions of dollars spent on "drug education" have little effect. Data shows that "DARE" it totally useless are reducing drug and alcohol abuse.

True enough. I was a DARE officer for 10 years. All previous programs failed and we really thought DARE was the next big thing. Turned out statistically not to be the case unfortunately. Now people wear DARE shirts to parties ironically.

40 some years ago we lived in a town of around 15000 population and it was a good neighborhood, modest smaller homes and lots of kids on our block. We had both a city policeman and state trooper as neighbors. We had one house on the far end of the block that started having a lot of traffic coming and going. People driving up, running into the house and minutes later coming out and leaving. It became a topic of conversation in the neighborhood, everyone knew, supposed they were dealing, but it just went on and on. Everyone just wondered why it was allowed to go on, but then no one said anything. Then one summer Sunday evening people were just sitting outside visiting with other neighbors and such when all of a sudden law enforcement came rolling in from all directions. They entered the home and spent the next couple of hours going in and carrying bags of evidence out, and then they were gone. That was the end of all the traffic.

Most be an Iowa thing. I grew up on a two-block dead-end street with two troopers and a city cop for neighbors. Quite peaceful, with the possible exception of all the kids. :ROFLMAO:

As the County Seat, the only "bigger city" (just shy of 20K) in the county, the place that contains the major north/south and east/west intersection, and a place where there is a State Police office, I have plenty of officer neighbors. Still plenty of drug problems but the gangs we had big issues with 15-20 years ago are gone. Plus the Okies making pot legal and the Indians building a Casino just over the border have vacuumed a lot of our issues away. Way less homeless than there used to be. The recent ICE stuff has cleared out a lot of the illegals too.
