I'm not a competition shooter but I signed up for a six week revolver league at the range with about 15 other shooters. I came out as top overall and top weekly for all six weeks. My GP100 made me look good throughout. We did various types of shooting from slow fire, timed rapid fire, partial reload indexing, and ended up with a steel dueling tree elimination match today. All in all a lot of fun. All done with my own 158gr .38Spl reloads running around 750fps. Love this gun!!!

The unfluted cylinder is a special edition from I think Talo. It actually comes with a nice wood Hogue grip but mine mistakenly didn't and came with a regular finger groove Hogue. I added the Hogue Super Redhawk grip since it fits my hand better.

Which range are you going to? Since Frontier Justice closed up shop and my membership there is gone I'm not shooting as much and trying to figure which Omaha metro range is best for a membership.

Great looking GP100

Yes, my GP100 is the TALO edition also, with the unfluted cylinder. I moved to the Hogue grips too.

Sounds like you held up your end of the partnership too. If your GP could type it would be making a post about how you proud it is of you.

I definitely type better but I give more credit to the GP. I just held it in the right place. Believe me, I have guns that it doesn’t matter where you hold them they aren’t hitting what they’re supposed to.

I know it's WW231/HP38, If I said it off the top of my head I'd get it wrong so I'll wait until I get home and can check for certain. (3.1gr). Stupid light load in a 6" GP

Nice revolver and nice shooting. Just curious, have you ever held a set of Hogue "Tamer" grips? Depending on your had size, they are rather thick, wider, but they really feel good and are great at absorbing recoil. I know with the target loads you are using recoil isn't an issue, but I really do like the feel of the Tamer grips.

Yep, the Tamer from the Super Redhawk is what I have on my 6" GP. Huge overkill but it works for me.
