What are your favorite fish. To eat that is.
Fried Catfish, Mahi Mahi or Dolphin- Blackened, Grouper Fried, Bass if its not muddy tasting and Crappie and other pan fish.

Hard to beat a fresh 16" walleye cought out of a northern Ontario lake. Even better if you fly in to catch em and you're the only ones on the lake.

Just last month I took my son, 2 of his friends, and 2 of my friends from England out deep sea fishing off the coast of the Dominican Republic. Only caught a few Mahi Mahi, but we got off of the boat, walked the fillets into a hotel restaurant right there on the beach, and had them cook it up. They cooked it 3 ways, fried, baked, and ceviche. TBH, I am not sure I could pick one over the other. They were all fantastic!.

I'm the one in the panama hat, my son is in the white shirt.

They're farmed, and yeah, walleye tend to be boney sometimes.

They would fish all summer for crappie and then late summer, early fall, they would pick a Saturday shoot and bring a big propane fired deep fat fryer and fix battered Crappie fillets for us and oh man, that was just like eating popcorn, finger food, and you could easily make yourself sick eating too much.

I liked all the fish I've ever had. Have a lot of crappie every year but like bluegill better. We keep a big box of catfish fillets in the freezer that we get from a restaurant supplier, it's good but farm raised is not near as flavorful as fresh caught.
Have had fresh Grouper on the beach in the Florida Keys. It's damn good but have friends that go on & on about it & I wasn't impressed enough with it to fall in love. I feel about the same with Mahi Mahi. Have only had fresh Walleye once & it blew me away, my favorite I think.

Always preached I like fishy tasting fish, something farm raised lacks. But met my match one day when I ate, or tried to eat, I should say,, shark. Man that stuff was strong. Good shrimp it da bomb for sure, always has been. Fortunate to not being in love with lobster, this, & it's price I don't crave it.

For me fresh caught Tuna #1. Every time we go tuna fishing I whip up a batch of sashimi dipping sauce with sliced ginger added and put it in a big baggie overnight to meld together. Out on the water when the first one hits the deck its turned a the freshest sashimi there is.
