I shoot it mostly out of a 5 inch S&W 629 Classic in 44 special brass. have a red dot sight on it( over 50 eye sight) at 25 yds its mostly one ragged hole. I load it over 5 gr of W231, nice mild target/plinkin load.

429348 has been showing up on auctions lately...just not cheap!

I had a LEE 208 WC and didn't do much with it. Then I got a 200 grain 44 wadcutter on a group buy LEE 6 cavity mould at castboolits. Last fall they ran a brass 4 cavity clone of LYMAN 429352 (250 grain full wadcutter) and I've shot a bunch of them out of the assorted VAQUEROS in 44 Special and Magnum brass. (This mould is available from OLD WEST BULLET MOLDS.)

I started with 5.0 of TITEGROUP in magnum brass with both and have increased the loads gradually, as well as experimenting with powders. HP38/231 seems a little better for my mid range loads. Very accurate at 25 yards and leaves a definite mark on the target.
