    Cabela's revolver pricing????

My local Cabela's revolver pricing is smack dab in the middle of "crazy" and "high." Even their sale prices are $50 over.

    Ruger 4.2" 357 SP101 price check

$506 before 6% tax is the best I've seen for the newly-released 4.2" SP101. Local shop via Davidson's. Grabagun.com has a $488 plus $5.99 shipping....out of stock of course. What price is the new Ruger going for in your neck of the woods?

    NEW SP101 4" .357 Mag

Ruger must've been listening to me mumbling while walking out of every gun shop this past year. Thank you! This 4" SP101 may be the ideal camping gun for me.

Most Accurate, 22 cal. revolver or semi-auto?

The only real-world input I have is my S&W Model 41 with Remington Gold is such a great and accurate shooter that I am unable to replicate the "expertise" with any firearm in my safe.

    Second thoughts about SP101

I pocket-carried a LCR for a year and it was okay for my frame and pant pockets. The weight is nice and conducive to never forgetting at home. I'm just not a fan of pocket carry; taking it in and out while driving, and then putting it back in while hoping no one sees me in the parking lot...

    SP101 in .22LR?

My local forum had two sp101 22lr for sale the same week. Two different unaffiliated sellers. One ad read "very rare, no other like it.....$750." The other ad was like "don't shoot it much, $450."

    3" sp101 or 4" gp100 for dedicated trail hiking?

Looking to purchase a Ruger and can't decide between a 3" sp101 or a 4" gp100. I intend to use it as the main hiking 357; we go on some arduous long steep trails through the backcountry. This will not be used as daily ccw or extended range use other than becoming proficient with the firearm and...

Your opinion on this used sp101 357.....modded?

Just spoke to seller. He said it was a regular range gun. At least 500 rounds 38sp and 300 rounds 357. The springs have never been put in, gun is 100% stock. Out of work and needs the money. He's a Ruger sp loyalist and just sold his 2 1/2". So it's not a screaming deal I take it. I would offer...

Your opinion on this used sp101 357.....modded?

Local seller posted the following: Selling my Ruger SP101 357 Mag in box. Has extra hammer springs, bianchi leather holster, 15 rounds jacketed hollow points, 10 rounds 38 special, 55 rounds semi jacketed soft points, 2 speed loaders and 1-10 round pouch for speed loaders. Asking $ 350 cash...

What was your 2010 gun purchases?

I should know this because a few were attempted 2010 tax write-offs much to the disbelief of my CPA. Ruger LCR 38 Crimson x 2 Ruger 10/22 Ruger 77/22 Ruger 10/22 Mag Smith & Wesson M&P 9L S&W 625 JM Glock 34 Sig Sauer 220R Sig Sauer 220 KC date Wally World Beretta 390 12g 1984 SKB-made...

    Suppressor for the 22 Mag?

Looking at getting a can for my Ruger 22 Mag. I think HTG is the one I want. http://www.htgsilencers.com/Silencers.html Anyone use a nice suppressor on a Mag? Pros and cons would be appreciated. Addendum: minutes ago I emailed the company. They have a 22Mag being tested this week. Here is...

    Who owns a 2 1/4 & 3 1/16 SP101 357

It'd be for ccw and a truck gun. But I plan to shoot it often with mild 38 reloads, and the woman of the house will become proficient with it also. Right now availability on gently used models is the main criteria, and if I can only find the shorter one I have questions: For light AND 357...

    SP101 trigger improvement....just a little bit?

Thanks for the good info. I'd gladly take 10 pounds!

    SP101 trigger improvement....just a little bit?

About to buy a SP101 357 3" but wanted to know how easy it is to lighten the trigger pull a little. Not looking for a hair trigger but man oh mighty that stock trigger weight is pretty heavy even though the pull is smooth-ish. Maybe down to 8 or 9 pounds? Can this be done with a simple spring...

Signed for the replacement LCR two days ago

Long story short, Ruger came through as expected. Replacement LCR Crimson 38 in hand. I guess the next comment is fitting of my belief in the company and their products: Dad was looking for a pocket carry to accompany him on long-distance motorcycle rides - I went out and purchased him a LCR 38...
