Goes without saying that this is a nice gun, does the signature add anything? I'm not a collector...just curious.
Halfway through my first box of ammo with my new 2.25" Sp101 I went to the counter of the gunshop/range I frequent and bought a Hogue Monogrip. 500% improvement.
I forgot this thread after I got my answer. It just popped up in email notices today, so as not to be rude to blume357: My other choice was a completely different type of rifle - a Marlin 1895. Went that way and my new 1895GS is in the hands of UPS on the way to my FFL guy as I type.

I think that if you asked this question on a more "neutral" forum, the majority would tell you to go with the Ruger. I don't have as much technical expertise as most of the folks on this forum, but if you only took customer service and parts availability as your criteria Ruger wins hands down.

Happened on this thread last night while I was doing research on these types of Rugers because I stumbled on one, half-hidden under a jumble of beater type guns in the most out-of-the-way case in a LGS. Could only see the grips. Anyway...

A nice warm Stoeger Coach Gun in 12 guage. Pretty much lives in the closet; if it comes out of the closet, there's bad doo-doo happening close by.
I do believe the barrels are 20"

Just picked up this afternoon at my FFL gunsmith's shop. It was still in the plastic which was sticking to the gun. Had to polish it hard with a silicon guncloth. Anyway, here is the badboy:
