Will Frame XRN-3 fit mine?

If I understand your question,, you have a stainless g/f marked XRN-3. You are inquiring to see if it will fit an OM Single-Six,,,,,,,, correct?
The OM g/f's have a different trigger return spring assy than a NM.
A NM g/f can be used on an OM,,, IF,,,, IF,,,, you make an adapter piece to put the trigger return spring in.
An OM g/f is harder to adapt to a NM as milling & drilling would be required.

Thank you , so I can adapt the XRN-3 to an old model by making the TS piece to use the OM spring.

In 1973,,, the New Models came out, with a different design in the trigger return spring. In OM's, there is a hole in the frame, that allows a spring & plunger to sit in, which is used to return the trigger forward. With the New Models using a totally different design, they milled a slot, drilled a hole for the legs of the spring & all.
Now, that slot in the NM g/f's can be filled with a "block" that has a hole in the end for the OM styled spring & plunger, and it's held in place using the cross pin hole in the frame. These adapters are not hard to make. I can see if I can get pictures up later.
But, as for making an OM g/f work in a NM,,,, it will require a lot more work. AND,,, most of us PREFER to just sell an OM g/f & buy a NM,,, as the OM's are worth more.
As for when the XRN-3 g/f's were made & used,,, I can't recall off the top of my head. Just know that it's a NM g/f. The actual shape of it where the grips are concerned is the same as the XR3-RED. So, when buying grips,,, you can use grips for both frames. If my faded memory is right,,, the first g/f's in the NM's were marked; NXR3-RED. After that,,, I can't recall.

OLD Model grip frames adapted to NEW Model guns with simple modifications:
1. Drill a hole in the OM grip frame above the trigger guard for the cyl bolt NM plunger & return spring. Replicate the location of the hole from the NM GF.
2. Grind off the spring shelf web on the back of the NM trigger and use the OM trigger return spring and plunger.
3. The OM SBH and Old Army black powder steel and SS grip frames are the easiest because they already have a wide trigger slot for the NM triggers which are all wide. For other than the SBH and Old Army black powder grip frames with wide slots, the NM trigger must be narrowed or the OM GF trigger slot must be widened, your choice. You may have to lengthen the rear of the slot just a bit for the trigger to go far enough back to release the hammer. Makes a great trigger stop too if you lengthen the slot just enough. There you have it, piece 'o cake.
