Just got a new Wiley Clapp GP 100. Like the Novak sight but is it standard and can it be changed to another Novak. The dovetail looks narrower

Found out from Novak that the sights used are standard - sort of. Ruger used small a sized version that is used on the Colt .380. You have some choices for change but there are no adjustables in that size. There are tritiums, fiber optic and three dot - all fixed.

I think your problem is that, as far as I can tell from their website, Novak does not make an adjustable sight. There are others who do and can probably be found at somewhere like Brownells or MidwayUSA. You would have to find a gunsmith to install it and perhaps the dovetail would need work. I'm not sure a 4 inch barrel revolver is an ideal platform for an adjustable sight but to each his own. I prefer the sight that is on it and while we are on the subject, how is this Wiley Clapp guy suddenly getting his name on all these guns ?

He's got his name on everything..

Havn't you ever heard of "getting the clapp?" after a one night stand?

Or the famous guitarist Clapp-ton?

There is also them "clapp on clapp off:" new fangled light fixtures.

He's probably some senators son...

+ 1. It is for sure a neat looking gun and I really like the grips but myself, I can't afford the premium for aesthetics.

Have any of you seen that GP100 on GB that supposedly belonged to a famous gun person (Was it Carmichael?) for $850+ and has been sitting there for about two years. I wonder when the schmuck is going to give it up

The Talo "Willy Clapp" 3" GP100 is a good looking gun. I would probably have to have it tuned on a little more. My understanding is that the Custom Shop did not do any chamfering on the chambers, or action work.

Just wondering what did you end up getting it for?

I have been thinking about a 3" as a project gun. I have a new set of Old Model Compact grips already for it. (The hardest item to get) The existing front sight can be changed out for a Fiber Optic, Gold Dot, or Tritium. Then a trip to Power Custom to see Uncle Ron for a Power Custom Action Job, which includes chamfering the chambers. If I could get a Talo cheap enough, it would be even better to work on.
