GP-100 .327

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a .327 Blackhawk last year and love it. It's a great companion to the S&W 632UC that I EDC.
Now I'm thinking I might need a GP-100 .327 for my nightstand.

Other than being hard to find is there any reason not to look for one? I don't have much experience with the GP-100 line.

No reason not to get one in my opinion. You already have other revolvers in 327 it won't be a gun in an odd caliber in your arsenal.
I have a 327 in the smaller SP101 plus an earlier one in 32 H&R that I got before the 327 was developed. My GPs are all 38 or 357.
Personally I like prefer the H&R and 32 S&W long for easy shooting at the range but I'm a plinker.
Hope you find one.

I have one, it's the 4 inch model, the 327 is very pleasant to shoot in the GP100.

I lucked into a 4" 327 GP100 from a friend who was getting rid of a few excess guns. It would be one of the last ones I would sell now. My other 327's include a Single Seven, LCR, SP101, and a rechambered Single Six. The GP100 is the most fun to shoot.

I actually prefer the SP platform to the GP, in 327 for DA’s. But I’m more of a SA guy, so I have Lots of them.

Sounds like a good purchase. I like the .327 very much despite it being quite snappy in my lcr. Maybe a .327 lever gun to go with your stable of revolvers?

While I have the GP in 327, I would not recommend it as a nightstand/ home defense weapon. Mine has never given me any problems and is the most accurate handgun I have ever fired. However if fired in the confines of a home, hearing damage will most assuredly occur.
I shoot all of my 327s a lot. Even in the great outdoors I have to wear plugs and muffs to prevent “ringing” after a session with either of them.
You already own a 327, so you are aware of the sonic boom almost immediately after pulling the trigger.

You can't go wrong with the .327 in any of the "real" guns, being anything over 25 ounces weight. I'll take any that someone is kind enough to give me but if it's an LCR variant it will be only a .32 S&W variant shooter. Good luck with your search.

Wonderful shooting guns...have got the 4" stainless....that said..good luck finding one. They were recently removed from the Ruger website...only the 5" blue is left in GP100 size...and none of them are around either.

Looking on GunBroker nice used ones are now in the $1500+ range... Even the once easy to find SP101 4" are gone...

In communicating with the owner of TALO, he said that they terminated his Exclusive of the LCRX 3" with no explanation...... So I'm wondering if Ruger is getting out of the .327 business...

Many years ago Ruger saved the 32 mag. from extinction with the single six and taught the world the true value of the cartridge.
Several years after that they brought the 327 into existence.
Since then, they have virtually owned both cartridges with few other companies even getting close.
They have sold out, in short order, every variation they have produced. They have distributors waiting in line guaranteeing to buy large quantities if available. The masses hunger for more and wait in lines,,,,,,, with money in hand.
So it makes sense, with Ruger's growing history of silly, wrongheaded business decisions to quit making them,,,,,, I guess.

Have been shooting 32 magnum for the last year and wanting to explore the 327. Searching for the last month for used 327s has not been productive.

Same here. Worked a gun show last weekend and couldn’t find a single 327 or 32 H&R magnum.
