4" GP-100 question

Does anyone know if Ruger made a 4" GP-100 with fixed sights and a full length underlug? Ive been told they exist but have never seen one in person. If they do exist, then the hunt is on!!!!!!

I wonder if those were the blued ones in 38 Special that went to the RCMP. Or maybe those were half lug?

Ruger made fixed sight GP-100's that were sold to the NYCPD. They were 3" and 4" full lug stainless steel in .38 Spl. (KGPFNY-831 and KGPFNY-841). These were DAO models. Ruger also made the GPF-831 (scarce) and GPF-841. (I have samples of all of them in my collection).

I’d like to have a blue 4 inch half lug GP but I just never see them. Had a Classified going here for several months yet no joy!

I have an NYPD 4” GPNY in .38 with a full underlug. . Years ago I bought a fixed sight stainless 4” .357 with full underlug that I found out about in this forum. Some nuclear power plant from in think Nevada traded in theirs for new semi autos. The price was $299 and it even came in the factory box. I stupidly sold it.

I have one fixed sight GP100 with a 4" FULL lug in 38 Spl. and another 4" HALF lug in 357 Mag. Both are SS and have SA/DA capability.

Ruger did make a 4" and a 3" fixed sight full lug in the past and they still make a 3" and a 2 1/2" fixed sight full lug model. The 2 1/2" model is a TALO Exclusive.

There is no other grip for a GP100 than that one....either size says "GP 100" !

Thank you. This gun left the factory with the black plastic inserts in the grips.
The oddest feature of this one is the D serial number. And the D is stamped backwards LOL.

The wood inserts are the best. I love the look and the feel.

D... and stamped backwards?....did you ever research that?

Yep. But not much research to do. Came to me with the original box with end label also printed D on s/n.

Unicorns exist. I found this one made in 1989 in my LGS a few years ago.

The serial number on my 5 inch Davidson's exclusive GP100 runs uphill. Doesn't bother me, I think it's kinda unique.
