Well this sucks!

Genessee Cream Ale? Where are you that you can buy it? I've not seen it in a store since I was at Aberdeen Maryland in the Army in '72. I still have my crab-cracking hammer that came free with a six pack!

And so I am not accused of hijacking... Get Well!

.

BLASPHEMY!!!!! A mallet for MD Blue Claw Crabs is just pure tourist gimmick to make money! A real crab picker needs no tools aside from what the actual crab itself provides!

Genny Cream Ale is available many places here, but they stopped using bottles....when I travelled to Philly area lot on business I would stay with my inlaws...my MIL would always greet me after work with a ice cold 16oz bottle of Genny Cream Ale.

But for MD Crabs (and Rockfish) there is only one beer to be had while feasting....National Bohemian! (AKA Harbor Water) Boh Knows!

For Seasoning I was raised putting Old Bay on everything.....I prefer a mix of Old Bay and JO......but lately Trouts/Jubilee has made a crab seasoning that is fantastic!

Best wishes to you. Been there and done that …. Heart attack / stent / stomach and intestine bleeds from blood thinners, etc. do what they tell you and you’ll be fine !

Glad you are feeling better. Sorry about the highjack. Hammers are used for driving nails. Anyone that uses them on crabs is a true rooky. A crab knife is all that is needed. As to the cream ale; that was what my buddy and best man ever drank. Always available in Aberdeen, Edgewood, Bel Air, and Havre de Grace. Personally I thought it was a lot like sex in a canoe.

@Watertender praying you will be with us for some time yet.... I've taken that "ride" myself.. damn scary. Now no drinking(I had quit mostly, about a year prior), no smoking(quit that 3 years prior, no wacky tabacky(damn), and no coffee (no caffeine?, oh yugo, oh dear!)... but I've got a wife i love and wanna get older with and two very young grandsons I wanna see grow up, so that's what I do now. I'm just no fun anymore. The wife says I never was, oh well

Been there and done that Watertender and in someways I hope it is not your last ride in an ambulance.... just saying...

By the way, what is a stationary engineer? I'm speculating ...but hard to figure out if it just some one one does not move around a lot or someone who designs different writing paper?
Stationary engineers run the boilers, power plants, and AC units for heating, cooling, and power. It's one of the few civilian jobs that us Navy pit snipes can easily transition to from active duty.

When the navy got rid of the BT's a major source for new stationary engineers dried up. Now a lot of the new guys are coming out of trade schools or technical colleges. It shows. During an incident at a hospital a newly licensed engineer (although we later suspected someone else took the test for him) didn't know which way to turn a valve to close it. Darned near puked the boiler.

Just goes to show you....
Youthful exuberance is no match age, experience, and treachery.
They can't teach the experience.

THE DOCTOR RELEASED ME!!! Just going to eat what they let me order and go HOME!!
That is some fine news. Going home and being where you can relax more is always a good thing. It does sound like you were doing quite well there and glad doing better. The cutting up you shared with them sounds like a great attitude and well received all around.

Well that place will be boring without you now.......get an agent and I'm sure they will book you for "stand up" comedy not "lay on your back" comedy......I will show myself out.....drop mic.....

Good news for sure!......I'm sure Walter has been by your side since you stepped through the front door.
