I couple weeks ago I posted that the front sight on my SBH is canted. I was referred to a site by Bowen that gave told how to fabricate a barrel vise and action wrench. I've gathered up the parts but I am leery of doing the actual work. How much of a chance is ther that I will twist the frame?

I've stood next to Mr. Bowen while he stuck a piece of a two by four in the cylinder frame and turned away at it. Hamilton is not a small fellow, standing well over 6 feet, and it had no ill effect on the Ruger. Of course, that wasn't his first rodeo either, so caution would still be advised.

I have a question. If the sight appears to be canted but the ejector housing is in proper alignment woud it not be easier to re-solder the sight?

Good question! In my case the the entire barrel needs to be rotated about 1/8" roughly. The ERH screw isn't lined up to allow the ERH to mate flush with the barrel on both sides.
