Never did this, but what I would do, is take the gun apart and then lay out the original parts from the little bag. Next, go to YouTube and search for "three screw Ruger Blackhawk disassembly/reassembly" videos. You might have to use different search terms, but you will find one. Then follow the instructions on how to put an original unaltered one back together. It should show you every peice and where it goes. Watch the video a few times before attempting and it is best to have it on you phone, tablet, computer right in front of you while you are holding/working on the pistol. My understanding is, it is just putting back the original peices, and no special tools or any modifications are needed. When I took apart my Ruger Standard Auto, Mk II I had heard horror stories about reassembly mishaps. I watched the video about 8 times, had it on in front of while working, and the it worked flawlessly.
