A sight for old(er) eyes

I put a dab of orange glow in the dark gel (UV setting) nail polish over a red dot front sight and every cylinder full I "charge" it with a mini flashlight.

Dunno why the new dot is uploading washed out but the original pic is 4x brighter.

I use a Krylon Gold Leaf pen on my front sights. Like what you did and will try it.

Using a white color first,, THEN,, once dried,, add your favorite color over the white. Makes them stand out a bit more.
