I am having problem in changing the factory grip on my GP100. The factory pin on the bottom of the grip on the inside will not come out for me. How do you knock it out? I have tried and tried while trying not to scratch the gun. What should I do? Please help. Thank you for all of your inputs.

Wow! Never heard of a problem with one, mine have always simply slid right out with nothing more than fingertip pressure. I wonder if someone glued it in there? Wish I had some advice for you.

The grip locator pin or disk is a press fit into the grip frame stud. Sometimes the fit is loose or tight. Rest the gun and gripframe stud on it's side supported by a couple of pieces of wood on either side of the grip locator pin and drive the pin out with a soft hammer or a block of wood or dowel. Simple. :D

It's really tight. I mean real tight. I have pounded that thing with a hammer and it's still stuck in there. Any chemical or lube idea? Thank you.

Wasnt that pin press fit tight on the earliest GP-100s that originally had the split rubber 2 piece grips? If so I seem to remember it will come out but your going to need a mallet.

Look at the marks on the pin drive it out the way it was pressed in support it well , some are very tite !!

I drove some out to change em over to the "new" then one peice rubber grip .

soakin steel to aluminum fit does not help , won`t hurt , just don`t brad the end while strikin.

Once out clean up the hole to a slip fit with a dremel .
