Trigger Stop Screws

Wondering if anyone has had experience with this type of trigger stops on a Ruger DA revo:

Seems to me that GP100/SP101 have some over travel, wondering if these would be worth the effort?

At that price I'd check McMaster Carr or any other GOOD hardware supply for soft tip set crews.


I get a bag of them (10 or 25) for 5/16-24 for $10.

Good idea about buying from McMaster.

Do you think smaller size, maybe 8-32 would fit the trigger better? I am at work, but I think the trigger isn't wide on gp100 or super redhawk.

I wasn't recommending 5/16-24. That'd be like using a railroad spike for trim work. I was just showing the price difference. I use the 5/16 on bows.

The Brownell's are 8-32.

I tried a few times over the years and I never had any luck drilling a trigger. lol

Yeah, that is what keeps me from trying is drilling stainless. I need to practice to see what kind of results I can get. I will look around the house for some stainless, any ideas?

Not all stainless steel is the same. Not all Carbon Steel is the same. You can practice, but the end result may differ.

Can you drill the frame for the trigger stop?

I think I will practice with stainless steel nut.

Its not the fact that its stainless that makes them extremely hard its the heat treating. I think you will find that the trigger is way harder than most stainless nuts.
