New screws for 3 screw old models?

Is there anywhere to buy brand new screws for the old model Blackhawks?

I haven't heard of anybody making new ones. But you can find some basically "new old stock" or close to it sometimes.
The easiest ones are the (5) grip frame screws. The (3) action screws,, a little tougher.

Place a WTB ad in the classifieds.

Recently I needed a hammer screw for a OM Single Six so posted a WTB ad. A kind gentleman responded and sent me a new one…..no charge. Maybe give that a shot. Numrich might have what u need.

The ones around here have a section in the hardware that is just gun crews.
I have had good luck finding what I need there.

the screws for the Old Army model are the same, I am actually looking into having these made. I sell replacement screws on ebay and these would probably sell well.

I don't know , they have a pretty big selection here.
I have had good luck there.

The grip frame screws are easy- same as the new models with the exception of the long nosed one that retains the NM hammer pin. You just use two of the left bottom screws.

The 3 side screws come up all the time on EBay. I’ve gotten a few there. Also, a side screw that has minor damage can be “restored”. I have tapped the raised edges back flat, filed the slot square, chucked them in a drill and smoothed the head and then reblued. Yes, they look a bit different than factory afterwards- maybe better.

yes, it is called "requalified", and when done right makes them look like new,in fact MAYBE better than new, the way the early lock work crews were turned down ) may be handmade?) had cutoff rings around the "face" (top) of the screw, saw this quite often , more so on the "spare" ( extra?) screws one bought from the factory and they pulled out of the "parts bins".......:unsure::cool:;)

When I need small parts under $20. I call Ruger parts dept (336)949-5200 and they send them for free. Have the serial # for a gun the parts will fit handy: they'll ask for it.

You can get good used screws, etc, at "Jack First" Gun Parts. I just found these guys and ordered some OM Blackhawk action screws as well as some other springs and stuff. I think they are in South Dakota. Ordered on a Thusrday and they showed up on Monday. Not too shabby of an outfit eh?. The parts are nice for used.

I don't care how old they are, if they're cute then they'll get at least 3 screws out of me.
