To whet your appetites.
Had a customer bring two of her granddads (inherited from her dad) guns for me to clean up and then sell for her.
First, a Savage 23A. .22LR, bolt action, magazine fed. Stock is perfect, rifle has NO rust on it and the bore is extremely good. By s/n probably made around 1925 or so.
Second, this one made even my heart go pit a pat. A Colt Officers Model Target in .22LR, 6" barrel, the checkered grips ARE NOT worn at all. Only problem is that it laid in a case for many years and has some rust freckles on the right side and some (1/2-3/4 inch long by 1/2 inch wide heavy rust spot at the right side end of the barrel. Again, the bore and cylinders are in exceptional condition. This has a s/n of 25XXX so is probably a 1940's model, just not sure, I haven't researched the s/n-date yet.
I will take some pictures and post them when I get back from vacation and the East Coast Get Together. Once cleaned up I will post them in the classified here first before I send them to auction. I need to do some serious research for value for the Colt, I already have a price in mind for the Savage.
