Names unlikely to be used

My sister (who was a teacher) had a student named "pajama" pronounced "PaJ A Mah"... This still cracks me up!
I dealt with an inspector named Marcia. I pronounced her name like Marsha Brady... She came unhinged screaming that her name was Mar-SEE-ah... I didn't call her Marsha Brady but just called her by what I saw on her name tag.
She was terrible to deal with and I found out later that her husband was in prison. She knew that I came from the prison system and treated me like I put him there.
Fortunately my cousin's wife was higher up in the inspection department and I was able to get her to talk to Mar-SEE-ah to tell her to back off.

I had a very similar experience with a Marcia. She would correct anyone who called her Marcia and insist that she be called Mar-see-ah. I worked with her father who explained to me that she was always called Marcia until she became a teenager and decided her name was to be pronounced Mar-see-ah. She had an issue with me because I refused to play into her affectation. I didn’t go out of my way to embarrass her but whenever we spoke privately she was Marcia. Her father always laughed because he had given in many years before just to keep peace in his household.

Reminds me of the old time (40's and 50's ) radio detective show Johnny Dollar that I listen to a lot.. there is a insurance guy who calls him in often to look into something... the guys name is Phillip McCrackin.

I used to work with a guy named Michael Hunt. Couldn't bring myself to call or refer to him as Mike.

I also has a Jesus (Hey-Zoos) that worked for me. My Methodist mother hated when I would joke that "I've got Jesus (Gee-Zus) on speed-dial!"

I worked with a James Bond born after the 007 movies became popular.

And a Marine named Robert Goulet.

Once dated a girl named Rose Early, her sisters were Diane and Mary.
Worked with a guy named Dicky Betts. And another named Joc Odur… I think he was french.
Friend who worked at a hospital had a patient that came and delivered her baby, she hadn’t picked out a name yet so they just put down “Jones, female” as is standard practice. The next day the baby daddy showed up and axed who had named the baby? Of course they replied no one, and he replied yes they did it’s on the crib… “Female” but he pronounced it “FemAlly”, so of course they liked it and left Female Jones 🙄
