Going to be a little warm here

for the next week. 74 today, 79 tomorrow, then 99 on Sunday and mid to high 90s all week. Quite a change for us, it has been cool for the last two weeks.

The last several weeks have been quite pleasant here in Ohio. Mid 70's today, we had a great day for our .22 shoot this morning, very little wind. Supposed to be in the 90's next week. Not looking forward to that.

Finally.....it was gloomy all day up here. Been waiting for the heat. Been a strange June. Lots of rain and no heat for the most part....hot crabs and cold beer go better with heat and humidity

It's been tolerable. I have big box fans set up and at night they get the house cool enough that I need a blanket.

Had an HVAC tech out to look a week ago. He replaced the main capacitor and added a pound of refrigerant. After already paying the property tax this month, I'm very grateful the A/C bill was only $250.

Had an HVAC tech out to look a week ago. He replaced the main capacitor and added a pound of refrigerant. After already paying the property tax this month, I'm very grateful the A/C bill was only $250.

Funny. About two years ago, my A/C quit and the guy came, replaced the capacitor and recharged the system. It stopped cooling a couple weeks later and the guy came back and added some sealant saying "That should hold for the rest of the summer." It lasted two years.

I had the company that did the servicing give me a quote on a new system. $12,000 to $14,000. My boss said, "call this guy." I called and he's putting in a new system for $3,600. Mo' better.

The summers are just as hot, I just don't tolerate the heat and humidity like I did forty years ago. It probably doesn't help that I'm fat.

I can’t tolerate the heat like I did when I was a younger man. The central air goes on in late April and off in mid October. Keeps the pollen out of the house also. I have the system serviced by April first in the hopes that it will be trouble free all season.

Darned warm in north MO today. I don't handle hot weather well. Got as much done as possible before 9AM and that was it. On the plus side, we still have some flooded ground that we're waiting to dry out prior to a second 're-plant' and expect this heat and wind will make that possible.

+1 on the yard mowing. Now that I have both our house yard AND the church yard, it more than doubles the area and the church yard is a real obstacle course of signs, driveways, and highway/road shoulders.
