Folks I was able to find a aftermarket barrel for my Ruger Sr22 3.5 pistol. I am now looking a getting a can that will work well with my 10/22 and my Sr22.

What are pples go to 22 can?

First off,, "Welcome to the Forum!"

There is a large number of suppressor companies out there. And you can get all kinds of performance.

You will get several answers to this seemingly simple question.

.22 cans are pretty uniform in performance. Small powder charge + typically subsonic from a pistol makes .22 easy to suppress. The key considerations are weight (particularly compared to the platform, a 8 oz can on a 20 oz pistol is not ideal), and ease of cleaning (disassembly and methods, e.g., aluminum can't go in an ultrasonic bath).

With the change in the tax stamp cost, every manufacturer has a .22 offering these days. Pick something that looks good to you and go enjoy.

Sorry the answer is not more definite. 5 years ago, the answer would have been SiCo Sparrow, but the market is changing very rapidly.

I hav bought 2 Xcaliber Eco Ti 22 suppressors in last 6 months. They claim 0 FRP. Touch over $200. Can't go wrong. I hav Silencerco Spectre II. Would not pay diff. Don't waste money on subsonic ammo. Buy CCI Std Velocity. It stays subsonic in that short bbl

I have a silenceco sparrow & rugged oculus. I like the oculus better it costs more but totally worth it. Oculus has no first round pop and modular so you can change the length of it. Deadair mask is also a good one to look at.

Pretty excellent summary here:

They're clearly looking for the good in every unit (nothing really wrong with that), but their evaluations are honest.

Can't go wrong with the Mask or OCL Titanium 22. Oculus is also excellent, but a little less my favorite on pistols. The Sparrow is a tank, but the loudest first round pop on pistols I've ever heard or seen rated. After that, extremely quiet. It turns 18 this year, and is probably the only very popular can anywhere near that old in today's marketplace, but it's still around for good reason.

SiCo Spectre II been on market 14yrs. Been a good suppressor. But if you don't watch it you can go broke chasn latest greatest on suppressors. Lots of specialty boutique suppressors on market

We've discussed this before. Due to the barrel retention of the SR22, I'd suggest the lightest, shortest 'can' available.
My advice is: the SR22 is not a great 'can'didate.
Thanks @Mobuck … a Dead Air Mask HD is in my near future, and I was thinking of acquiring a threaded barrel for the SR22 I rescued a while back. The Mask was my choice as it is rated for full auto from a .22LR AND it’s rated for 5.7x28 for use with my Ruger 5.7 (if I’m ever able to get my hands on a threaded barrel for it). In the meantime it will be used with my 10/22 TD and .22/45s. My son has a Mask and it’s a great little suppressor. I like its individual baffles vs the monolithic 3-D printed, rough textured baffle in the RxD22Ti, just for cleaning purposes.
