I've never owned or shot a SR-22, but I like DA/SA decockers with external hammers because they're the closest thing to a DA revolver in operation, and I carry revolvers a lot. When I first saw a SR-22 I became interested in them for that reason until I realized that when you engage the decocker it doesn't spring back up into the ready to fire in DA mode. I don't understand why Ruger would have designed them that way but it seems like a big mistake to me. On top of not being able to fire in DA mode without disengaging the safety, the damn safety is upside down....you have to move it up to fire.
So the question is whether there is a kit or modification to correct this problem?
