God bless you brother. You are a true friend and brother-in -arms to all of us here. I hope we talk again. If you see this and can pm me get me some contact info. If you're A vet I can and will have you in an apartment in 48 hours if necessary. If your not a vet no matter we'll figure it out another way. If you see this reach out to any of us. Please.
If we truly don't hear from you again know you're A big part of all of our family here. Your avatar has just been voted #1 by all of us here. I for one demand you keep posting it. Come on brother!

Ride... I in no way want to betray your trust, but I have contacted the Deschutes County Sheriff to attempt a welfare check. If you receive this message, please let me know and I can let the Sheriff know that you're okay and/or get you some help.
There are a lot of folks on this site that are willing to help you, even financially.

I sure hope he read the posts......God only knows what and why people do what they do....don't get me wrong, I am still trying to stay optimistic, but if he read those posts, he knew he had a lot of friends, and he Still does have those friends. All of the posts showed true care and concern from a lot of good people.

If the worst has happened and Ride is gone by his own hand I hope that we find out so we can pay our respects here on the forum.
The loss of a member takes a little piece out of all of us. I consider the people here as friends. We may disagree on some things and poke some fun at one another but I believe that most of us are pretty decent people. Some of you I know in person while others are just from the forum.
If there is a collection of any kind for Ride, Mrs Watertender and I are in on it.

WT, You are a great guy and your concern, I think, reflects the concern of the folks on this Forum. I share with you the thought of considering my fellow forum members as "unmet friends". Personally I for one want to find out what happened to our friend "Ride".....this whole thing doesn't make sense. I am hoping that hopefully he is heavily medicated and maybe could have passed out. When the deputies, find him, and hopefully alive.......we can help him out.....I am trying to stay positive. I went back and read his last post and he admitted he was not right and feeling dizzy or disoriented. Can't remember the exact words he used but he was shook up. His bike and his truck were both broke down and he was lonely and by himself. Did the vehicles break down in his location, or how did he ever get there in the first place. Also, he said he was split with the wife but he didn't call her an "ex".....and that she got everything, the dogs, the house and I guess everything in the house ??? And poor Ride is out in some way out location all by himself ?? For our friend Ride, we can hopefully try to find out what happened to him and end up doing what Ride would want us to do.....for him....I think in the next day or two, we will hopefully know a lot more then we do now...Keep praying.

Hey Ride you can't leave I can always count on you to comment on my post. :)
Like Rugerguy posted my way of life has gone downhill due to my wife having dementia.
I get pretty low at times also since I don't get to play with my toys. I have to take care of her 24-7 but in 1963 I made a promise that included "In Sickness and in Health" Oh but they didn't say I would have to wipe her butt for her. ;)
Hang in there.
Same here too Jim. My wife passed June 2nd after battling cancer for 6 years, I have done very little since but tie up all the loose ends which seems never ending. This week end 9/20 my two remaining sons and I released her ashes into the Atlantic Ocean. We live in the mountains of NC but every Fall a group of ladies from the church went to the beach to sit, watch the waves roll in, and talk about who knows what. I went twice, bored stupid. May she rest in peace. Ride, no one said that life was easy, the trying times are what proves our "mettle", today I face life one day at a time sometime I have to make an adjustment to the day because of appointments etc. The phone rang yesterday afternoon, it was one of my new customers calling to inquire how I was doing after the loss of my wife. That is not the first or I hope, not the last of the calls like that.

I've been following this one. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. This forum and a couple others is basically my social life, not complaining, it's by choice. Ya know we come in to this world alone and that's the way we are gonna go, even if there are other people in the room at the time. I know that Ride is/has been grateful for the fellowship of this group. We are indeed lucky to be living in this time where the "net" offers a channel of support for us. Still hoping for the best on this one.

If that was him in his avatar then... well there's too many jokes in that and this is not the thread for them.
He said he was camping out in the high desert and so that is going to be probably hard to track him down.... not sure exactly how remote he was or how he was getting internet access.... his wanting to cross the bridge to meet his dogs is the disturbing part..... hope the authorities can find him and help him out.
