I hate to see stuff like this. The man gave you the money, now send him the gun or his money back! Or if something has happened let him know what's up! This is why I will not buy anything from someone that has not been on the forum for a long time with a name I know.

AzShooter1,, aka James has been around here a while. I don't think he's the type to rip anybody off. Sometimes life happens,,, too quickly. I know,, as I was seemingly ok,, and the next thing I know,, I was in the hospital.

I haven't gotten the impression that James is a scammer.

But I also realize that good communication is paramount in any trading. Let's hope this gets resolved quickly.

This looks like a hacked account scam to me. Unfortunately, may be very difficult to track down the actual perpetrators.

Reminder: unless you personally know all parties, don't send payment to third-party payment accounts. Not just PayPal. Wife is an accountant, a common business scam is a fake email changing bank account info for accounts payable.

I looked up the address you listed above.

Per Seminole County, it is owned by a couple named Yager.

Gasmandave has @-ed him several times in this thread. If he's been online he should see the notifications that would lead him here.

ETA: 3 times in the last 24 hours. I'm struggling as to why the mods haven't locked him out of all threads but this one.

Any word yet from the seller? Or is this just a lesson learned? It seems like his account was hacked because he's been around for a while, possibly something happened to him health wise. It happened to me once and thought I was scammed but in the end it worked out. I hope this gets sorted out.

Ok,, it APPEARS that the seller may have just been under the weather & all. I can relate. I was suddenly hospitalized just about 1-1/2 weeks ago,, and wasn't on the Forum myself. Stuff happens.

We are all patiently awaiting an update. Let's hope the seller gets well enough to clear all this up.

"this stuff happens when you deal with old gun guys."

I had to chuckle at this comment.

Why?

Because often,, mr. deerstalker has had his life interrupt his ability to ship stuff. Yet,, I've NEVER been disappointed by any trades with him.

I'm glad to know the seller has contacted gasmandave. I just feel it'll eventually get taken care of.

thanks for the kinds words, I think? Mr. Contender. most of mine are self infected. I post something for sale, I get caught in bad weather 400 or 500 miles away from home, or guideing Brown Bear or Moose hunter or stuck at the lodge, my few days of down time to get things shipped truns into a month. im am thankful for the understanding, I think my trusted word is good on here. I've really only had two bad experiences on here. one my fault. the other was on the shipping co. and an ignorant buyer that could not understand that it’s out of my control after I ship it. I still know his name. zero more transactions for him ever again. but yet he tries...lol
