Yes Scott,, my words were meant to praise your honest dealings. And some of us do understand that where you live can provide unexpected challenges in shipping stuff.
I purchased parts from you and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again and likely will when the need arises down the road.thanks for the kinds words, I think? Mr. Contender. most of mine are self infected. I post something for sale, I get caught in bad weather 400 or 500 miles away from home, or guideing Brown Bear or Moose hunter or stuck at the lodge, my few days of down time to get things shipped truns into a month. im am thankful for the understanding, I think my trusted word is good on here. I've really only had two bad experiences on here. one my fault. the other was on the shipping co. and an ignorant buyer that could not understand that its out of my control after I ship it. I still know his name. zero more transactions for him ever again. but yet he tries...lol
Do not feed his ego!! @mr.deerstalker is one of the worst enablers on this site!!!!@mr.deerstalker is a right guy in my book. Another reason a transaction rating system for the marketplace would be a good idea.
We are working on a solution. I'll keep you all updated.Yes he has. He said he has had the flu and has been very sick. I'll wait and see if he does.
I wanted the pistol but for whatever reason he doesn't have one.Now I'm really confused. Did you want the gun or not? I get the seller being sick and perhaps a delay in shipping but to never get around to sending it but now issuing a refund. Across the street we woukd call that a Welch. I guess if you're okay with it, but this saga just keeps getting more bizarre. As for the sellers rep, I think it would be more meaningful if he set the record straight.
His screen name is @AzShooter1 and he has 10 pages of posts on the forum. Give it a rest until he comes through with the refund. He's trying to make good.I just tried to open Azshooter and check his prior posts and site says "oops
we ran into some problems".
Still waiting for a resolution. I've been assured that the end of the month I get refunded my funds.Lemme guess...
A rating system wouldn't make a bit of difference. Simply put: One flat out bad sale and that member won't be in the Classifieds anymore.@Cholo why can't we have a rating system for the market place to make situations like this less common?
If his account was hijacked, he may not have it back. @XUSNORDIE can you try to DM him on the other forum and see if he is locked out? Then why hasnt the forum member posted in this thread "hey guys this aint me! My account got hijacked!"
I'll add this although may ruffle some feathers
forum owners generally profit from membership traffic, ads, etc.
if the joining of parties that ends in a sour deal originated in a forum, those owners have a duty to intervene on behalf of members acting in good faith
A rating system or any other measure you take won't prevent issues with a hacked account.I've sat quietly watching up to this point but now it's difficult not to speak out
I can understand all sorts of reasons a gun may not be sold, shipped, let go of, etc.
but it's purely inexcusable not to return someone's money promptly, especially after determining nothing is going to be shipped. period.
trader ratings do work
forum owners have access to user registration information, login information, ip address activity, etc. While this sounds good in theory. The forum owners/participants have ZERO power to enforce anything. The worst they can do is ban the member.
It's really no different than watching a theft on the street or in a business. Maybe you should intervene, but you really have no authority or power to do so.
Well maybe he doesn't get on here much or at all. I belong to a couple forums I haven't been on in years, which is probably exposing myself to being preyed upon. Not to mention there is no profile for him here anymore. Then why hasnt the forum member posted in this thread "hey guys this aint me! My account got hijacked!"

forum owners certainly have the authority to reach out to a user for verification it's actually them, explanation of suspected foul play or criminal activity, etc.
I'm not saying they aren't doing any of this, just that it doesn't appear so based on what's posted in this thread
There are no records of you asking for this information via email or PM.I lost $250 on this forum last month. The member was banned and I was told the member was using multiple VPN's.
No other information was given to me. I asked for a copy of all known IP addresses, or any other pertinent info, but so far I haven't received anything from the forum owners.
I want to see if I can find this SOB, but all I have is an email address.
