I got out to the range today and had a chance to "play" some more with my SBH Bisley Hunter + Match Dot.
I started on the 100 yd rifle range and never made it to the shorter ranges.
100 yard 5 shot groups between 6 and 6.5" (forearms on bench) with 320gr Double Tap hard cast loads. Possibly not quite as good as some of the more experienced pistoleros on this site but the best accuracy I have ever achieved with a handgun.
I figure when I get my reloading bench set up in a few days I should be able to put together some loads that the gun may like a bit better. Even if it does not get better, I am completely happy with the performance as is.
My groups with the revolver were only slightly larger than by buddy shooting his 270 WSM with a 10X scope.
My SBH with iron sights was not quite that impressive, however I was able to keep all of the shots on a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper. I was using 240gr double tap loads with this gun. This one might benefit the most from some customized reloads.
