i have a ss security-six that i brought used, it is in very good shape but the ejector rod is bent. it binds in one spot when you try to eject shells. can i take it out and strighten it? if so how? thanks for any help.
 
dave790, Welcome to the forum! If you havn't done this before, then I suggest you take it to a local "competent" gunsmith to straighten that ejector rod! It is a hollow rod that has a center pin and spring going through it. If you don't have the right tools or experience, you can make it "worse" than it is! You also have to have an accurate source to check "run-out" of the rod as you work it such as a lathe or mill and indicator. As you can see, it's a job best left to a good gunsmith. It is possible there is dirt or debris in the rod and a "simple" disassembly and cleaning may cure your problem! .................Dick :wink:
